A pup without rest | Chase x Skye love story

The perfect end

Two months later.

It was the last day of the vacation. Chase and Skye were on the beach swimming in the ocean. The German Shepherd was stayed in water for longer time, while cockapoo laid on towel sunbathing. 5 minutes later, Chase got out from water and came up to Skye.

Skye: Enjoyed the water, Aquapup? (chuckles)
Note: Aquapup - similar to Aquaman, but pup version.

Chase: Haha, yeah (lays next to Skye). Poor thing, that without a fish tail.

Skye: Ohhhh! Someome's want to be a merpup? I thought you don't believe in them.

Chase: Thanks to you, I believe (nuzzles her on cheek).

Skye (nuzzles him back): Glad I made it.

Chase: (looks on ocean and sighs sad)

Skye (worried): Hey. What's wrong?

Chase: It's the last day of vacation. And when we'll come back, I have doubts that I can relax like this in Adventure Bay.

Skye (hugs him): Hey don't worry! Sure, we don't have much time to relax in Adventure Bay, because of missions. Luckily, Mayor Goodway often gives us a weekend-off. 

Chase: Yeah. It's something. Well, I made myself too doubted, hehe.

Skye: That's it (smiles). And remember, what Ryder said.

Chase: I'll go on next vacations! I completely forgot about that (laughs).

Skye (laughs): Oh Chasey. Seeing you finally relaxed makes me so happy! What about work? (teases)

Chase: I will focus on it only when we come back home and celebrate anniversary. 

Skye: That's the spirit!

They continued laying closely to each other, when Chase remembered something.

Chase: Do you remember our talk, when we were going from hospital to hotel?

Skye: Yes. What's the matter?

Chase: Well, we decided, that we will celebrate our new beginning as a couple on last day of vacation in pool and under sunset with drinks.

Skye: What we are waiting for? The sun is going to set down in 40 minutes. We should go!

Chase: Ok. Let's pack our things.

The couple packed up and went back to the hotel. When they got to their room, they left their things and ran to pool. Skye was the first to arrive, but Chase wasn't near her. She decied to get in pool and wait for him. 5 minutes later he came with drinks.

Skye: Now I understand, why I came alone in pool. What's this? (points her paw to glasses with drinks)

Chase: It's juice. Blueberry mixed with raspberry.

Skye: Blue and pink? (grinns)

Chase: That's it!

Skye: Ok. Get in, or you will stay here?

Chase jumped in the pool and swam closer for Skye.

Chase (looks at sunset): The best end of the vacation. Pool, sunset and (looks at Skye), the person you love near you.

Skye (nuzzles his chest): Awwwww!

Chase (takes his glass): Well, cheers. For us!

Skye: For us, Chasey!

They drank their juice and swam in pool for a while. Then Chase and Skye got close to each other and closed their eyes enjoying themselves. Skye's head was laying on Chases shoulder, while Chase's head was laying on hers.

Chase (low voice): Thank you for helping me to relax. I bet I couldn't do it by only myself.

Skye (low voice): You're welcome. Glad you enjoyed your first vaction.

Chase (low voice): And finding my love, heh (rubs his head on hers).

Skye: I love you, Chasey.

Chase: I love you too, Skye.

Then they shared their sweet kiss. Just like in hospital.

Skye: Let's get back to our room. To share our last moments of this vacation together.

Chase: When pups will tease us as a couple on next vacations and in Adventure Bay hehe?

Skye: Yup!

They got off from pool and headed back to their apartments, where they laid on bed and snuggled close to each other, nuzzling each part of their bodies. It was really the perfect end of first vacation for pup without rest.
