It was dark, Steve had registered that as odd but figured the Hydra agents were in a more confined room. He took a hold of his walkie talkie. "Bucky? You still there?" "Yeah I'm here Steve. I don't see any sign of them and I'm a bit...lost." Steve let out a soft snort. "I'll come find you, can't leave my best guy behind huh?"
Bucky had been wandering around for a few minutes, and he still couldn't hear or see any sign of Hydra. Maybe the building was abandoned, or they just aren't using it anymore. He heard the sound of footsteps and raised his sniper, only to find it was Steve. "Oh, it's just you." Steve walked up to Bucky smirking, and looked around. "You think they're even here? I haven't seen anyone." "Me neither, think we're done here." Fury had sent them to clear out the small building. It had been previously owned by Hydra and used as a place to plan and discuss. "Yeah, let's head back. Wait Buck, do you hear that?" A faint beeping noise could be heard coming from a middle room. Their eyes were wide as the building blew, and Steve pulled Bucky in for their last and final kiss.
