Y/N heard a knock at the door and leapt up excitedly, unlatching then opening it. She gasped, seeing Katsuki wearing a tux, holding (flowers, chocolates, whatever u want :D).

"Y/N... You look amazing." His expression had softened, and he spoke authentically.

"So do you."

"Are you ready to go?"

"Yeah."

He grabbed her hand and they walked out together. His hand was warm but a little rough.

"So many pretty women..." Mineta was on the verge of a nosebleed watching his classmates enter, to which, Mina smacked him rather violently on the back of the head.

Everyone looked rather fancy, but still stayed true to themselves in their outfit choice. Momo opted for a long elegant wine-coloured dress, while Jirou had chosen a shorter skirt with a jacket. Deku was wearing a waistcoat and bow tie which reminded Y/N of his outfit when they were on I-Island.

"It's hard to think this may be the last time some of us see each other.." Kaminari whined, hugging Mina as they both nearly started sobbing.

"Come on Kaminari, don't think of it that way! We still have tonight!" Kirishima intervened.

"Yeah, you're right! Plus ultra!"

"All right! Grab a partner for the slow dance of the evening!" Present Mic announced, he was in his element.

Y/N scanned the room for Bakugo, but he surprised her by managing to sneak up on her and take her hands before she even spotted him.

"Boo." He said, gazing into her eyes with a look he gave no one else but her.

"Ready?" She asked.

Everyone else was making their way to the middle of the floor, most in pairs.

Y/N leaned on Katsuki's shoulder as they slowly waltzed around the room in the dim light.

"I love you, Y/N."

"I love you too." Y/N felt terrible, she still had to tell Bakugo about her dream job offer in another city.

She wouldn't stay there forever, only a few months maybe. But she knew that Bakugo would not be happy about it.

"Katsuki..."

"Yes?"

"I got my dream job offer."

"Really? That's great, where was it again?"

"That's the thing... it's in (city far away)."

Y/N sighed as Bakugo connected the dots. She watched his expression change, feeling a bit guilty.

"Katsuki, it's not forever, just for some experience-"

"I don't fucking care Y/N! You can't leave me!" Everyone had turned to watch Bakugo's sudden outburst.

"Look, I-I'll come with you!"

"Katsuki..."

"Please... Y/N, don't leave me..."

Everyone was shocked that Bakugo had allowed himself to cry in front of everyone in the room, but he didn't care anymore.

He felt broken, like a piece of himself had been taken from him. But one thing he knew for sure.

He wasn't going to let Y/N go alone.
