A/N: There's a banner this chapter!! One of my readers from Alcohol is a Bitch decided to draw a fanart of Taiyou and I asked to use it as a banner. You can find their account at SalsabilaCalviBel. Perfectly captures his somewhat flirty attitude and his (future) art teacher look! Now, onto the chapter.

(Y/N) POV:
But no matter what Taiyou did, he always apologized in sincerity.

Monday December 24th

Winter break, the greatest time of the year. Because of this, I had no classes for the next few days. Also meaning that I didn't get to see Taiyou and explain why I left. That and I couldn't find time with homework and assignments left by merciless professors.

Christmas was tomorrow and I ordered something a few days ago for Taiyou's gift. It finally came in the mail yesterday, all that was left was to wrap it.

It was currently about eight at night and I decided to take a trip to the store for gift wrap. Being Christmas Eve and all, even the dollar store was packed. Whole rolls of wrapping paper was too much for a single gift

The walk home wasn't that far, nor was it that close. I hummed to myself the same song Taiyou was playing in his dorm that day as I walked home.

"I'll have to ask him the name later," I whispered to myself.

As I arrived to the door of my dorm room, Taiyou leaned against the it. He was dressed for a day out, gray hoodie with his hands in the pockets of the black jacket over his sweater, thick jeans and sneakers, a navy scarf to top it all off.

He noticed me walking up to him and dropped his calm and collected mannerism. The hood he wore as a way to not be noticed was dropped to reveal his relieved and somewhat panicked face. Though, Taiyou's eyes carried bags, those that signaled a few endless nights without sleep.

"Hey, are you okay?" I reached up to put my hand on his cheek. "You look a little... off."

Taiyou smiled softly and leaned into my hand. "Yeah I'm fine."

I cleared my throat and removed my hand, "Did you need something?"

"Oh yeah!" He called out.

I put my hand to his mouth and a finger to my lips. "I wouldn't put it past your fangirls to know your voice by heart and quite a few of them live on this floor."

I removed my hand and Taiyou nodded, "I was going to ask if you wanted to take a walk around town for tonight. It's Christmas Eve, it recently snowed, there's light displays everywhere, it's really nice out. Please let me make it up to you for what I did the other day."

"Taiyou, about Friday-"

"Please (Y/N)." His tone serious yet pleading, it was the first he ever spoke this way.

"Okay, I'll go with you. Let me just sort some things out and change into warmer clothes since I assume we'll be out for a while?"

Taiyou could barely contain his excitement, he only nodded. I gently pushed him out of the way and opened the door to my dorm.

Taiyou tried to follow but I stopped him with a smirk, "I said I have to change, stay outside for a bit... Pervert."

His face flushed at the thought. He swallowed hard and nodded, throwing his hood back on and covering his face with red-gloved hands. I laughed as I closed the door on a flustered Taiyou and walked towards my closet.

I left on my errand run in just a thick sweater since it was rather quick, but Taiyou would probably want to be out until at least midnight. I pulled out a black jacket with warm fur inside to keep me warm on top of the sweater. Simple leggings with fur should be fine for pants.

After quickly changing, I pulled out the bag to put Taiyou's gift in and searched through my dresser. A small black box I had hidden in my socks drawer was put in the bag. I shoved the small bag in my jacket pocket, all set to go.

I opened the door to and Taiyou fell backwards to the floor with a thud. He gave a sheepish smile and reached his hand up. With a sigh and a smile, I helped him up. He stood outside my door as I locked it and shoved my keys in my pocket.

"We don't speak about this," He stated.

I patted him on the back and walked past. "Sure bud."

Taiyou yelled down the hall "What's that supposed to mean?"

I ran up to him, pulled his arm and started running. We turned the corner at the end of the hallway as, like moths to a flame, every other door on the floor opened. Fangirls of Taiyou's recognized his voice and left their rooms to make sure it wasn't a prank.

"I thought I told you to stay quiet." I yelled in a whisper.

"...oops."

I rolled my eyes and quietly led Taiyou back outside the building. He walked me to his car and opened the door for me. I got in and Taiyou shut the door with a bow and cheeky smile through the window.

Surprisingly mature of him-

He then proceeded to slide across the hood of his car in an attempt to get to the other side. Failed attempt but still an attempt. Taiyou instead slid too fast and fell due to his hood being slightly wet. He stood up, got in the driver's seat and quietly turned the car on.

I let out a slight snicker. "You're all sorts of clumsy today."

"Shhhh, it's been too long since I've inhabited a human body."

"Yeah okay."

Although the car had been started, Taiyou didn't drive. His hands weren't on the wheel, instead they were gripping his jeans.

He calmly turned to face me "Hey (Y/N)?"

"Yeah?"

"I'm sorry, truly."

I shook my head in confusion, "What for?"

"Friday."

"I overreacted-"

"No you didn't." Taiyou cut me off and stared at me with remorse. "You didn't, what I did was pretty messed up. I'm really sorry for making you worry. I thought it'd be a fun little joke but didn't think of how you'd feel. Please don't be mad."

I was shocked at the sincerity of Taiyou's words. "Look, I'm not mad. In the moment, I was more scared than anything. Promise me one thing though, don't do something that dangerous again." I stuck my pinky out in front of us.

Taiyou seemed on the verge of tears. My childish pinky promise made him laugh and cheer up a little. He took my pinky with determination and smiled at me.

"Now, what's the plan for tonight?"

"You'll see when we get there." Taiyou winked and set the car in motion.

"Oh God."

A/N: That was a new light to see Taiyou in. He usually is jokes and games but I tried to write him in a different way for a bit. Hard to put my favorite OC in a situation where he's sad but I wanted you guys to see that side of him. Fun fact: His personality is somewhat inspired by myself. That's enough of my comments though, I'll see you all next week!
