Reflection

Blake POV

I am sitting at the window sill of the house we're staying in and my mind wanders to (Y/n). I wonder how he's doing and if he's feeling any better and I wish I could be there with him. But I then remember his words that if I ever felt alone I can always look to the stars and he'll be there in my heart. And while I don't feel alone with my team around, I still feel something missing without (Y/n), I just hope that he can heal and come back to me.

Blake: I love you, my Lion King.

(Y/n) POV

The past few days have been trying test of patience and while I can keep myself calm under pressure, doubt ever gnaws at me. Today, Mercy is having me sit at a place called the Lake of Reflection, to reflect on what I've learned and what I still need to do.

Eric POV

At first I thought (Y/n)'s healing was going well but with the recent attacks on the Monastery all I'm seeing is my brother being a shell of his former self. I approach Murwi and ask.

Eric: Murwi? Are you sure Mercy knows what she's doing with (Y/n)'s healing?

Murwi: My mother trusts Mercy with the healing of everyone in need, you should too.

Eric: Sorry, it's just it seems (Y/n) isn't getting better, he's getting worse. He's totally lost his confidence and drive.

Murwi: Well, maybe this is as healed as he's going to get. Although, he did tell me that he doesn't feel like he can be a leader without the roar.

Eric: *surprised* What?!

Cassie: That's crazy.

Bruno: Yeah, (Y/n) has always been a leader.

Tyler: With or without the roar, he is still our leader.

Simon: Yeah, what you guys said!

Murwi: Then maybe I'm not the one that needs to tell him that.

Eric: Hmm, you're right. Lion Guard, we have a mission. Let's go!

We eventually find (Y/n) at The Lake of Reflection, he sees us and asks.

(Y/n): Guys? What are you doing here? I thought you were helping the Guardsmen?

Eric: We are, and we're here to deal with an emergency. You.

(Y/n): Me?

Eric: Brother, your scar is making you doubt yourself. But we do not doubt you.

(Y/n): But, without the Roar, I can't-

Cassie: You've always been a great leader, (Y/n). Even before the Roar.

Simon: Yeah! You always have and you always will.

Bruno: It's true. I remember the day you led us all into battle for the first time.

Flashback

3rd Person POV

A very young (Y/n) and Eric are racing to the lake Bruno spends most of his day.

Eric: Hahaha, you'll never catch me big brother!

Eric finally reaches the lake and jumps in, he then splashes out of the water and exclaims.

Eric: Ha, I win.

Bruno: *from underneath Eric* Actually, Eric. I was already here.

The boys laugh and are soon joined in by Simon who jumps in and starts a splashing contest with Eric and Bruno, while Tyler sat with (Y/n) on the bank. Cassie then comes racing out of nowhere.
