Heimdall's Observatory
Thor & Loki continued to battle savagely. Loki fired Gungnir, sending Thor sliding across the floor and knocked Mjolnir from his hand.
The hammer flew into the Bifrost towards Jotunheim and Thor raised his hand towards his hammer, tried to summon it back to him, to keep it in this Realm, but the Bifrost was too powerful.
Mjolnir disappeared into the maelstrom as Thor himself slid towards the Bifrost. "If you care so much for the Jotuns, then die with them," Loki said. The Bifrost stretched every cell of Thor's body, trying to drag him away. He was nearly swallowed by the vortex, when he concentrated, mustering his will. He reached out his hand towards the Bifrost.
Mjolnir flew back through the maelstrom, into Thor's hand. The hammer pulled him free. Loki tried to fire off another blast at him, but Thor took to the air, and speed towards his brother.
Thor & Loki came crashing through the Observatory dome and landed hard, rolling across the Rainbow Bridge. As Thor got to his feet, he saw Loki dangling off the Bridge's edge.
Triston & Lidianna looked over to see Loki in need of help. Lidianna tried to get up, but Triston's grip on her got stronger and he continued to hold her down. "Thor! Help me!" Loki exclaimed and Thor stepped over to the side of the Bridge, and saw Loki looking up at him desperately. "Please." Loki's fingers were starting to slip and Thor reached down to grab his brother's wrist, but his hand passed through Loki's.
Just then, the real Loki materialized behind him and Thor whirled around as Loki stabbed him in the chest with Gungnir. "Father!" Triston yelled as Loki lifted Thor into the air, impaled on the spear, and hurled him across the bridge.
Triston tried to go help his father but Thor gave him a look, as in to say, no keep Lidianna secure. Bleeding, Thor raised to his knees and Loki strided up behind him to finish him off when Thor swung his hammer around. Instantly, another Loki appeared next to him and Thor swung his hammer but that too was an illusion. Loki after Loki appeared, and Thor futile swung at each one, never making contact. Thor fell back to his knee and the real Loki grinned as he raised his spear. "I was always more clever than you," Loki said.
"Yet still not clever enough," Thor said and with that, he raised his hammer, raising it into the air, summoning lightning. A massive bolt of lightning struck Mjolnir, then channeled outward, striking Loki, who was sent flying back across the Bridge, Gungnir knocked from his grasp.
Thor stepped over his fallen brother, lying dazed on his back. Loki winced, preparing for the worst, but Thor stepped away.
Loki opened his eyes, and tried to stand, but couldn't. He looked confused, but then saw what the problem was -- Mjolnir rested atop his chest. Struggle as he may, Loki couldn't lift it off. Loki, Triston & Lidianna, who looked at Thor, who was walking towards the Observatory. Thor looked back at them desperately, as the Bifrost fired towards Jotunheim, gaining in strength, at the surge of energy moving through the Bridge. "Look at you, the Mighty Thor. With all your strength, what good does it do you now?" Loki asked, and Thor knew he was right. He was powerless to stop what's happening. He looked down at the Bridge beneath his feet, vibrating from the force and speed of the Bifrost energy feeding into the Observatory.
He realized what he had to do, and what he had to sacrifice. Thor extended his hand towards Loki, and summoned Mjolnir. The hammer went flying into his grasp as everyone looked at him confused.
Thor raised Mjolnir into the air, as clouds formed above him, thunder rumbling. Lightning arced off of his hammer, as he channeled the power of the storm into it, then he struck Mjolnir down upon the Rainbow Bridge. "No! Father, stop!" Triston yelled as he let Lidianna out of his grasps, but she didn't do anything. The blow was massive, causing a rumbling along the whole bridge, shaking the Observatory itself like an earthquake. A crack appeared where the blow struck as the others rose to their feet.
