"Levi, look!" Carol cried.
Levi and Carol were outside shopping, and Carol was getting distracted by everything that she saw in the way.
Levi looked at what Carol was pointing.
"A bunny rabbit?" Levi frowned and walked closer to get a look at it.
"Yes! It's so cute!" She squealed.
"Can't disagree," Levi smiled. "But we have to buy grocery, Carol. So quit looking at random stuff and help me buy something".
"But I want it!" Carol argued.
Levi looked confused. "You want the rabbit?"
"Yes!"
"Pets are not allowed in the campus, Carol. You know that".
Carol looked at the rabbit longingly. "But it's so small and lonely. It wants to be with me".
"I think it's the other way round," Levi said. "And someone else will come along to take the rabbit and give it a nice home".
"But Candy needs the best home!"
Levi chuckled and frowned at the same time. "Candy? Have you named the rabbit already?"
"Yes! C for Carol, and C for Candy! We're so related!".
"You're not related... and anyways, how do you know that the rabbit's a 'she'?"
"I asked the sales man," Carol said.
"You do realize that you're not gonna buy her? Let's just buy some grocery and not get our heads in the clouds".
----------------------------------------------------------------------
"I can't believe this is happening," Levi said as he quickly closed the door of Carol's room.
"What's happening?" Carol asked.
"You bought the rabbit, Carol! That's what I'm talking about!"
Carol smirked. "I'm so good at persuading people".
"I wasn't the one to be persuaded here, Carol. What are you going to say to the headmistress?"
"We're not gonna tell her," Carol said, as if it was the most obvious thing in the whole world.
"You can't keep hiding this forever, Carol. Someone will find out, sooner or later".
"It's not forever, Levi. When I would go back home again to visit my parents, I'll give Candy a home there".
"But you won't be going back home till next year".
"Then it's our job to keep Candy a secret," Carol said, keeping Candy's cage beside her bed.

"Carol! Carol Campbell!" The English teacher called out in class. "Where is she?"
"Um..." Levi stood up. "She's unwell".
"Is she unwell every alternate day?" Ms. Sarah shook her head. "And why have you been absent every alternate day too, Levi?"
"I was...also unwell," Levi stammered, wishing he had a better excuse.
"We can't go on like this," Levi said as he entered Carol's room.
"Can't go on like what?" Carol outstretched her hand to take Levi's notebooks. "It's pretty convenient".
"No," Levi said. "The teachers are suspecting something. Ms. Sarah wants us both in class tomorrow".
