"Not sure this is where there will be a so called entrance," Spectral muttered. "I mean, I don't think anyone would even find us here, nor will we find some opening around this place."

The surrounding trees made everything so gloomy and quiet. Snowstorm felt like he was still in the NightWing Village, when really...he's just outside it. He shivered, nearly squeaking at the sight of a very detailed cricket chirping in his direction without noticing him. Right before it hopped away, Moondrift squashed it with her talon and gave it a disgusted look.

Snowstorm sighed. He always believed that Moondrift was a really nice dragon on the inside, but was too afraid to show it. Everytime she kept doing something that made him frown, he thought his hopes on her being a kind dragon just fades slightly.

Maybe if I could force it out, he figured, hoping Moondrift wasn't reading his mind right now. If I could put a need in front of her, that'll show her she's compassionate on the inside. I just want to prove she's really good.

"Hey," Snowstorm said to Moondrift, "my head hurts really badly, like a migraine. I think we should call it a night."

"Yeah, cause it IS night," Spectral pointed out.

Moondrift turned around, pulling out a flower from the ground and examining it. She looked at Snowstorm with eyes that he couldn't tell what she felt about that.

But she sighed. "I guess it's getting pretty late. I'm not sleepy, but I suppose we should all go to sleep to get some rest. Alright, but where are me and Snowstorm going to sleep for the night?"

Spectral thought for a moment. "You guys could have my suntime platform, you wouldn't mind sharing, would you?"

"Um," Snowstorm mumbled, glancing at Moondrift to see if she was okay with it. "If she wants to..."

"Why not?" Moondrift shrugged, giving him a wide grin.

He felt pink again, but nodded with a small smile. "Then it's settled."

"Why is it cold again?" Moondrift shivered. The platform was one of the highest in the Rainforest, Snowstorm guessed that's why Spectral has such vibrant colours. "Probably because it's high where the wind is stronger."

It was more silent than ever, the way Snowstorm had liked it. A few toucans squawked quietly in the background, but all in all, it was a perfect night to him.

Snowstorm stretched out his wing and wrapped it tightly around Moondrift, letting his warmth pass onto her scales. She smiled and closed her eyes.

"Thank you," she sighed, snuggling closer.

"You just had to torment me with your beauty," Snowstorm said, and gently nudged her cheek with his snout. (Cringe 😬)

"You just had to torment me with your charm," she laughed. "Though I think I know the next place we should look for this secret entrance, if the underground system even has one."

"There should be," he assured. "So, where are we looking next?"

He wondered how Moondrift might have guessed where to check the next day. But she just looked up at the beautiful night sky, which was mostly covered with large banana leaves and soaring birds overhead.

But without all those things blocking the stars, it really would be a lovely sight to behold. Especially when you're gazing up at it right with the dragon you love most in the world.

Moondrift had been more grumpy ever since they entered the Rainforest, but Snowstorm couldn't guess why. He wanted to uplift her, make her more happy since he knew something has been bothering her.
