Chapter 24
SincerityI smiled at the guard who let me inside. It was a great feeling that I was already familiar to their household that I can enter without being interrogated. I suddenly wondered if they knew that I was actually Brayden's father.
I brought Brayden new set of clothes and shoes, while for Xylia, I had Ate Christine find a red dress for her and as well as heels. I wanted them to wear this in the party that I was currently organizing for them. I wanted everyone to know how lucky I was that they're my family.
"Dad, paano po kung kayo na lang ang maghandle ng company while Tiff's still on her honeymoon trip?"
My grip on the paper bag's strings got tightened when I heard Xylia spoke. Her father's even here.
I clenched my jaw while hearing her said those words. She was planning to leave me again. And she's even gonna take my son with her away from me.
"Mommy, I want to study here!" I heard my son tried to go against her mother's plans.
Ganyan nga, anak. Fight for daddy and stay here with me instead.
"Brayden, we cant," Xylia sternly said. "We already talked about this. We're going back to New York because that's our home. That's where we live. You even have a lot of friends there waiting for you to come back."
Without any hesitation, I took a step closer to take a look at them and saw my son who was already pursing his lips while his head was down.
Xylia exhaled while looking at our son. "I already explained it to you."
"But I don't want to leave daddy!" My son rebuted that melted my heart. "I love daddy! I want my daddy!"
I also didn't want you to leave, son. I love you more, and I want you and your mom here with me always.
"Daddy?" nagtatakang tanong bigla ni Mr. Saavedra. "What are you talking about, Brayden? Is it your Tito Kiel?"
Brayden shook his head before he vocally answered. "My real daddy."
"What's the meaning of this, Xylia?" Mr. Saavedra turned to his daughter. "He already knew Brendt?"
Brayden was the first one to notice me that he immediately ran towards where I was.
"Daddy!" he enthusiastically shouted.
"You didn't visit me po for three days..." nagtatampong sabi naman ng aking anak.
"Daddy's very busy at work," dahilan ko. "But daddy will promise to play and be with you for the whole day."
