Episode Sixteen - His Ringing Ears

Kevin gets struck to the ground, Exodus slams his feet onto him. He screams in pain. He growls, holding two hands to him, charging energy blasts. Exodus quickly grabs his hands, blowing up the blasts, damaging them in the process. He picks him up, throwing him to the side.

Maximus lets out a furious roar, attempting to tap into the mysterious form from before, but all he could do was go into Peacemaker. He charges at Exodus, throwing a punch to his cheek, sending him flying. He snap-vanishes, kicking him into the air. He flies after him, striking him in the stomach multiple times.

To runs over to Kevin, picking him up, "you okay?" He nods, coughing, "yeah...I should be." He looks over to Maximus and Exodus, sighing, "he can't win in that state..." To nods, "whatever Exodus did to increase his power, he did it well...he's vastly more powerful than any of us could've imagined."

Maximus throws another punch, but Exodus catches it. "Wh-" He's struck in the face, then in the gut, and then in the face again, only to be sent to the ground. He hits it, using the momentum to get back to his feet. He pants, "wow...you pack a punch." Exodus floats to the ground, landing in front of him. "How did you get so powerful?" He asks.

Exodus chuckles, "the serum is still being produced by the government, despite it's horrible effects on the world. I raided a supply post of the serum...and took as many as I could find." Maximus growls, "you bastard...you take what isn't yours and make yourself better. You make me sick!" He lets out a battle cry, dashing at him.

He jumps at him, but he vanishes -- quickly appearing behind him, but Exodus throws his arm out, knocking him in the nose, sending him back into a mountain. Exodus appears before him, drawing his fist back, then striking him, full power.

Maximus catches his fist. "What?!" Exodus cries out. Maximus looks up at him, his aura growing brighter and stronger by the second, "you think I'm done?! THINK AGAIN!" He roars, the mountain breaks and crumbles by the sheer energy he emits. Exodus is flung back slightly, looking at his foe.

Maximus had perfected Peacemaker, giving him a substantial power boost. He dashes at him, throwing a punch. The two clash, a shockwave breaks the area round them. "Perfected Peacemaker, hmm? The form your father created," Exodus says, struggling against the power struggle. Maximus nods, "he passed it down to me, and with it, I'll defeat you!"

He breaks the clash, striking him in the jaw, sending him back. He snap-vanishes behind him, kicking him in the back, then strikes him down the ground. Before he hits, he fires an energy beam, damaging him slightly.

Exodus leaps from the dust, grabbing Maximus by the face, firing an energy blast directly from his hand, burning his face up. Maximus yelps, bringing his own hand to his face, firing an energy blast, making him drop him. He jumps back, firing several more. Exodus responds with more of his own, the energy blasts clash and explode mutually.

Maximus jumps into the air, charging an energy beam. Exodus looks up, charging his energy, causing it to skyrocket. Maximus fires the beam, but Exodus catches it with a single hand. He growls, "damnit!" He puts more power behind the beam, causing it to grow bigger. Exodus's feet dig into the ground, he hisses, striking the beam away. He dashes up to Maximus, striking him in the stomach, then elbowing the back of his head, sending him back down to the ground.

He coughs, standing up quickly, "it's like a game of catch." He pants, letting his energy surge even higher. "They seem to keep matching eachother in power," To comments, watching the battle ensue. Kevin nods, "yeah...if Exodus climbs higher, so does Maximus. It's rinse and repeat with these two."

"...all Maximus has to do is reach the same power he exhibited on the planet far away," To says. He looks over to Margret, the lingering anger within him still burns, "for her sake..." Maximus grunts, dashing up at Exodus, striking at him. He evades, kicking him, but he catches his leg, spinning around, throwing back to the ground.
