"Don't take this personally; people do bad things when they're trying to survive."
The black-haired male languorously slipped his white gloves off, pinching the edge of the fingertips and easing it off with ease, the velvet like material dipping in the shadows as its fuzziness was smoothed against his long, slender fingers.
He cracked his knuckles, a rare and broken grin climbing onto his pale face, wrinkling his porcelain skin.
"But me? I don't wanna survive."
"I just wanted to kill you."

"Sakusa-san, mission is complete; the Pig is dead."
Midnight in the lowest levels of town was always a sight to be awed at. The stale exhaust at the end of the day mixed with the disregard for time made the night perfect for crime.
The curly, black-haired male pulled up his mask and slinked back into the shadows, giving one last dead eye to the cold corpse on the ground before tapping his ear piece, intercepting the call.
"Kozume, arrange for my arrival in the headquarters." His voice was monotonous, grey and uninterested. The boy on the other end held the same tone as he responded to his superior.
"Copy that, Kuroo is on his way."
Sakusa frowned; he wasn't too fond of the slinky agent in charge of escorts and cryptology. He was loud and obnoxious, and quite hard to understand.
Also, his car always smelled like drugs; the dark-haired male could already feel his skin crawl as if he just sat in his seat-
A slow groan came from behind him; his ears perked up and he whipped around, his Browning Hi Power handgun already in his grasp and index finger ready to pull the trigger.
Only then did he notice the source of the sound form before.
It was the guy he had killed, the Pig; only, he wasn't quite dead.
Sakusa felt his eyes widen as he registered the next course of events, barely collecting himself and running out of there before a grand explosion popped his ears and sent him flying away, harshly crashing against the wall of an abandoned building.
He felt blood in his mouth and his vision darkened alarmingly.
Dammit.
The explosion was quite powerful, the traitor's body had vanished from the scene, probably in a million pieces scattered all over the alleyway.
Sakusa had made the mistake of not checking his body for clues before walking away; a grave mistake, that.
There must've been something he didn't want us to find, something he died protecting...
He was pissed; pissed at himself for not analysing the situation and for letting this key data slip through his hands so carelessly.
In his still dazed state, he kicked a pile of garbage and yelled curses, knowing that his disregard led him to his failure.
"Omi-san!" Heavy footsteps neared and through a blurry lens, Sakusa saw Kuroo, his hair as wild as ever. But under the cover of darkness and his disoriented vision, he couldn't see anything else.
He didn't even realize he collapsed until he felt Kuroo's shoulder under his head, his worried voice in his ear yet miles away.
"Omi-san! I was just around the corner on your way when I heard the explosion. What happened?"
I let him go, that's what happened...
"S-scan the area, if there's anything that seems suspicious-" Sakusa was cut off by a fit of coughs, bright red blooming in between his hands which he used to stifle them.
"...Omi-san-"
"I'm fine." He really wasn't, the after effects of the blast still rattled his head, "Just- look for something."
"Can't do that when you're dying. C'mon." The other male hoisted Sakusa up, wrapping his hands around his waist and his shoulder around his own neck; they both walked out of the wreckage despite the superior's protest.
"Kuroo, I'm ordering you to-"
"Omi-san, sorry for sounding disrespectful but really, think about this. You're in no position to continue the mission naked."
Sakusa's frame shook as he coughed again, he silently accepted his defeat and entered the repulsing car of Kuroo, leaning his head back in the seat as he ripped his burned mask off.
Another failure...
