Quick content warning: mentions of disordered eating, adhd, dysphoria and anxiety.
A two hour travel time. 6:14am, although being a calm and somewhat silent train ride, minus the few commuters alarms to be heard, a growing fear had long started in his stomach; morphing and becoming an untameable burn of discomfort, it could have been the skipped meals but he knew better after all, anxiety and being hungry were vastly different. That reminded him, fingers gently and discretely wrapped around his wrist, the tips easily touching, thank god.
Coming up to the walk of his commute was always the issue, not to mention it was peak morning and that meant everyone his age was out; all those hungry eyes of judgement and stares, the voices in his head louder than the bands pathetically trying to drown them in his earbuds.
Breath in for four.
Footpaths felt longer, crossing lights dragged on, this would usually never be a problem but today was bad, and all his senses screamed to back the feeling.
Hold for four.
He couldn't breathe, the binder felt like it was bringing more attention, the facial features too feminine, voice too high, curves too noticeable,
Breathe out for four.
A day where hiding seemed like the most viable option.. With a sigh of relief, he'd finally reaching the school, located the bathrooms and for the first time this whole morning; stopped.
Breathe in for four, hold for four, breathe out for four.
School itself wasn't bad... except for the lingering want to desperately scream out for help, to cry about how he wasn't okay and it wasn't fair. All he could do was stare at the whiteboard as the teacher droned on about something, god he wished he could pay attention but that fucking shine of the board that housed his reflection. It laughed at him, mocking the curves, mocking the femininity of the boy. He wasn't selfish, but he just wanted peace.
But pay no mind, Denki Kaminari was okay. He had to be.
