Brand New World
Her heart was a secret garden
The walls, she thought were too high to climb
She never pictured you'd open the door
And she'd let you in
Or expose herself to the world
She thought things were always going to be the same
She'd be locked away forever
Hidden inside her little world
The walls were so grand
They kept her inside
Her true feelings,
She knew they would hide
She didn't have to open up
She didn't need to worry
She thought her world was all sealed up
And she was finished caring
But you came along
And found the key to the door
You stuck it in the lock
And exposed her entire world
Now, her feelings are bittersweet
The world crumbled off her shoulders
And collapsed at her feet
She's tired of trying
She's tired of hiding
She wants someone to do it for her
She wants to be the one that's cared for
You smiled at her
From in front of the open door
She seemed confused
And slowly,
She stepped out of her world
It was cold inside
It was hard to hide
But she had managed
And now, it's a brand new world
And in it, your love
She's got time to find
