Harry sat on the couch, anxiously waiting for Hattie to wake up. He had the whole day planned out, and he couldn’t wait to spend it with that little girl. First he was going to feed her breakfast, and then he decided he was going to talk her for a walk to the park. Then around lunch time he would take her to get her some lunch and after that it was whatever she wanted to do until Skye had got home. Then he figured he could take them shopping and out to dinner.

His heart starting fluttering at the thought of Skye. He knew there were feelings still there and they always have been there. He wanted so desperately to tell her, but after what had happened 2 years ago he wasn’t sure he could. Harry brought his fingers up to his lips, gently brushing them, smiling knowing what had just happened an hour earlier.

He couldn’t get her out of his mind and it was driving him slightly insane. Harry got up off the couch and slowly started walking back the tiny hallway in the flat. He very cautiously opened Hattie’s bedroom door. She was sound asleep, sprawled out over her bed. He leaned against the door frame, smiling to himself. She was so incredibly beautiful, just like her mum.

She looked so much like Skye but there was also someone else she looked like and Harry didn’t know who that was. Her dad. He couldn’t help but wonder aimlessly who her dad was for probably the thousandth time that morning.

Suddenly, the little blanket started to flutter and move as Hattie poked up. She rubbed her eyes and looked around the room. Harry giggled and just watched as the tiny toddler crawled out of her bed. She hadn’t noticed Harry standing there yet. Then, she looked up and her eyes got wide as a huge smile had formed on her face.

“Hawwy!” she yelled running into him. Harry knelt down just in time to catch her flying into his arms. He picked her up and squeezed her as if he had known her since she was born.

“Good morning princess! How did you sleep?” He asked as she pulled away from the hug, staring at Harry.

“Good. I missed you Hawwy” she smiled and Harry’s eyes starting filling with tears. He had just met the little girl yesterday and already she loved him so much. He never felt so much love towards him before other than from his family and the lads. He never felt this..needed before.

“I missed you too pretty girl” Harry replied, trying to blink away the tears. Harry carried her out to the kitchen and set her down on the chair.

“Do you want some breakfast” he asked.

“Yeah!” she yelled bouncing in her seat. He couldn’t help but giggle as he grabbed the bag of donuts and opened it.

“Do you like donuts?” he asked before he got one out for her. The tiny toddler quickly shook her head up and down, continuing to bounce in her seat.

“What kind do you like?” he laughed.

“Chocowate please” she replied. Harry’s heart started to hurt. She was so polite and it was so adorable. Most of the toddlers at the day care are usually very rambonxious and it was a nice little surprise to know that not all of them are like that. Of course, Skye was always a very polite girl so it wasn’t an entire surprise her daughter was.

He grabbed one of Hattie’s toddler plates and placed the smallest chocolate donut on the plate. He placed it down in front of her and lightly kissed the top of her head. He then grabbed the seat across from her and watched her as she slowly and delicately ate. He often smiled to himself, thinking about how adorable she was.

When she was all done, he took the plate and washed it off. “Do you want to go the park and play?” he asked as he picked her up and placed her on the ground.

“Yeah! Can we pway all day?” she yelled.

Harry laughed. “Of course we can!”

Hattie ran back to her room with Harry following behind. He searched her wardrobe for something appropriate to wear for fall. This little girl had the most fashionable clothes he’s ever seen for a toddler which made him giggle to himself. He eventually picked out a tiny pair of leggings with some sort of Aztec pattern he assumed was for fall, a little gray hoodie and her tiny UGG boots she was wearing the previous day.

When she was all dressed she ran out from her room to the couch. Harry quickly followed. Hattie started jumping up and down.

“Shit” he said under his breath, hoping Hattie didn’t hear. His fished his iphone out of his pocket before quickly dialing for Louis.

“Ello mate. How’s babysitting?” Louis answered.

“It’s going really good. She had breakfast and I just got her dressed. I’m going to take her to the park and play for awhile.”

“Oh the lads and I will join you!” Louis’ replied taking Harry by surprise.

“You guys don’t have work today?” he asked.

“Nope! We have a free day. It’s quite nice today but bring a coat for her. It might get more chilly later.”

“Ahh that was exactly what I was calling you about. I’ll see you in about 20 minutes?”

Louis agreed and then they hung up the phone. Harry went back to Hattie’s closet and grabbed one of her heavier coats before coming back out.

“Ok princess, let’s go!” he said as he picked her up and headed out the door. He quickly stopped in his tracks when he had seen a note on the other side of the door. It had read Harry. He grabbed it and opened it up.

Hattie’s extra car seat is in the closet in the kitchen. Figured you might need it – Skye Xx

“That would be helpful” he whispered as he re opened the door and set Hattie down. He walked to the kitchen and opened the closet to reveal her car seat. He picked it up and took Hattie’s hand with his other. He carefully walked with Hattie down the stairs and out to his car.

It took him a bit before he understood how to put it in, but he eventually got it. He placed Hattie in the seat and tightly strapped her down. Harry was careful with driving since he had her in the car. He was very slow and many people got irritated with it. But he wasn’t about to risk anything. When he arrived at the park, he noticed the other lads were already waiting for him on a bench. He slid out, walking to the back to get Hattie out. He carried her over to where the other lads were sitting.

“And who is this pretty girl?” Louis asked standing up in front of Harry. Hattie smiled and turned away bashfully, making all of them laugh.

“Hady” she replied turning around and looking at Louis with a wide toothy smile.

“I’m Louis! That’s Liam. That’s Niall and that’s Zayn” Louis replied.

“Hi!” Hattie said to all of them. Harry smiled as he looked at all the lads. He could tell they were slowly falling in love with her, just like he did. Louis held his hands out to Hattie and she reached for him. Harry handed her over and took Louis’ spot on the bench as the two of them went to play.

“She’s so cute” Niall said looking at Harry.

“I know. I can’t wait for you guys to meet Skye” he replied and his heart fluttered again.

“With as much as you talk about her Lad it’s about time we meet her” Liam laughed and playfully shoved Harry. The boys were watching as Louis and Hattie played with each other. Harry was shocked because it was Louis who was the one that didn’t understand why he wanted to babysit. She was growing on him too and it was obvious. Harry could only hope the rest of the lads eventually loved her as much as he did.

“She looks like you” Liam said. Harry looked over, meeting Liam’s eyes. His mouth had dropped slightly, almost not believing what had just come out of the older boy’s mouth. Harry returned his eyes back to Louis and Hattie who was playing on the swings. He carefully looked at her, taking in every feature.

Harry’s eyes had widened when he realized, Liam was absolutely right.
