"You should be sleeping, kid." a more than familiar figure steps into her vision as her cheeks heat up, he had a way of knowing exactly what she was up to.

"I'm an Insomniac, Zion. but, you help me sleep, will you do so again?" she said with hope in her eyes.

"Of course, I'd do anything for you, kid."

(Y/N)'s POV

It was nighttime once more in this crisis of a world, you couldn't sleep which wasn't new and the strange events weren't a bonus. yesterday you found the rooftop which seemed untouched by the abominations that had set foot in the world.

you slid through the metal door with a bit of force, you stepped into the snow, the cold late evening breeze feeling refreshing against your skin, but soon you got too cold it wasn't a good idea to go out without your jacket, then again you weren't the smartest.

"Shit, it's cold," you think aloud shivering but you didn't want to go inside yet, there was no point if you weren't going to sleep in the first place.

"You should be sleeping" a familiar figure steps towards you, the noise of crunching snow approaching you from behind.

"I know," you said, you did know but you had to wait till you felt drowsy, it was the only way for you to sleep.

and no way in hell would Eugene ever sing to you.

"Why are the hell are you up then," he said his patience running low, it wasn't high, to begin with. "I have insomnia." you shrug as a few snowflakes hit your somewhat warm arms.

"Why are you awake?" you question he didn't seem to care about sleep himself, "Someone went up here," Zion said emphasizing someone sarcastically.

"But, I'll keep you company until you fall asleep, kid," he said dragging you by your arm, you hesitantly play along.

-

"Why are you always so calm!" Scarlett said annoyed because, you didn't throw a fit like she was, frankly you were too sleepy to put up with her nonsense.
"frankly I could care less about your petty bullshit." you stated nonchalantly, you didn't really care about her being even more offensive towards you.

She stomps over to Eugene, defeated what a wuss.. you thought to yourself, gazing out the window, daydreaming about the future.

"You can really put her in her place, eh?" the familiar figure with crimson red hair said.

you knew he was talking to you, but you willfully chose to ignore him, simply to see how he'd react to be ignored.

"Hey, quit ignoring me," he said glaring at you, you wanted to stop but on second thought you wondered what'd happen if you ignored him for longer.

"Look at me when I'm talking to you!" He glares, you roll your eyes, you look at the redhead disinterested, he huffs giving up. He never seemed like a quitter.  he'd most likely come to bother you later on when he'd have something snarky to say.

-

You watching the snowflakes fall right outside your window, what better did you have to do in an apocalypse? your door opens as a figure steps inside, you turn your head to see, Zion.

"Heard of knocking?" you said glaring at the redhead, this morning had you in a bad mood, he sighs, "Meet me out on the rooftop at the same time as last night," he said, and at that, he left you to some privacy.

you were curious about why he seemed so interested in knowing where you were, all the time.
