"Oppa! What are you doing here?" I exclaimed in surprise. "My dear sister! Of course I would come here!" he said. I tilted my head to the side and said, "What do you mean?" "I want to play a role in your love story!" said Sehun-oppa, "Joon-ah told me that you are gonna give Jin a chance! Good choice!" This is unbelievable.
That brat Joonie told my oppa about it immediately. "Well... how come you got the time?" I asked, frowning. "Well! This is important! I got a month's leave from my boss!" said oppa cheerfully. I stared at him. "Aren't you happy?" he asked, pouting, "You always say that you miss me. Now that I am here, you aren't even asking me to come in."
"Oh! So sorry! Come in!" I said, moving aside. Sehun-oppa happily came in and said, "So sis, how are you these days?" "I am confused," I said, sighing. "Well, oppa is here now! I can help you out with your feelings!" said oppa. I felt happy that I had my big brother to lean on again but I remembered that I was angry at him for not telling me about Jin.
"No need," I said, "I got my own counselor." Oppa frowned. "Who is that?" he asked. "None of your concern," I said. "C'mon, Y/N, are you still angry at me?" Oppa asked. I nodded. "I am sorry. I know I should've told you about Jin... But you see, he promised me-" he began. "You already told me that!" I pointed out. He sighed.
"What do you want me to do so that you will talk to me again?" he asked. "You don't have to do anything," I replied. "Y/N-ie, please," he said, giving me puppy eyes and doing a bit of aegyo. "Yah! Fine!" I said, "Stop it." "Good," said Sehun-oppa smiling widely. "So... where are your bags?" I asked. "They are at Jin's place," oppa replied easily. I stared at him.
"What? Namjoon saw me first! So he came to me and grabbed my bags," he said. I sighed. "But really, you did not have to come," I said. "How can I miss this drama?" Oppa muttered under his breath. "Huh?" I said, raising my eyebrows. "I mean I am here for you," he said, laughing. I frowned at him and then shook my head.
He really loves to see drama, I guess! My phone began to ring. I pulled it out to see Jungkook's name flashing on it. "Umm... I have to take this," I said and went to my room. "Hello, Jungkook?" I said, picking up. "Y/N," said Jungkook. His voice sounded weak... Had he... cried? "Kookie, are you... okay?" I asked.
There was silence. "I am ready," Jungkook said. "Huh?" I said. "I will fight with Jin fair and square and get you," said Jungkook. My eyes widened at these words. "You mean-" I began. "Yes, Y/N, I am breaking up with you! I will show you that I am worth your love," he said. I don't know what to feel. At one side, this is my first break-up... on another, I can now freely consider Jin without being a cheater.
"Thank you, Jungkook... for understanding," I said. "I can do that much for the one I love," said Jungkook, "So now, jagiya! Let the competition begin!" Why do I feel like someone just blew a conch to start a battle? Jungkook had hung up and I sat there, my thoughts whirling like cyclones in my head.
"Y/N!" Sehun-oppa called out, "Look who's here!" Who is it now? I went downstairs. "Ah! Jin!" I exclaimed seeing Jin sitting with my brother. "What happened to you? You look down," said Jin, as soon as he saw me. "Jungkook just broke up with me," I replied. "On the PHONE?!" Sehun-oppa roared. "Yah! Don't shout! We had talked about this earlier... He said he will win me back fair and square," I said.
There was a silence as both my brother and Jin stared at me. "Don't look at me like that!" I said, "That's what Jungkook said!" "That means the battle is on!" Sehun-oppa said. "Aish! What battle?!" I said. "A battle for you, sweetheart," said Sehun-oppa, chuckling. I remained quiet. "It's okay, Y/N! Don't worry," said Jin.
I looked at Jin. His face was set, like he too was ready to show what he had. I sighed. With all their enthusiasm, all I can think of is that my heart is not worth it! I just hope they won't go too far!
Jin's POV
It was night-time. Sehun-hyung and I had returned to my house. I wonder what kind of stuff Jungkook is planning... What if Y/N chooses him in the end? "What are you thinking about?" Hyung asked. "Hyung... what if Y/N chooses Jungkook in the end?" I said, voicing my worries. "She won't," hyung said simply, with a small smile. I don't know why but hyung and Joonie are both confident that she would choose me!
"What is Prince Charming worried about now?" asked Namjoon coming out of the kitchen. "About his princess choosing Jungkook of course," said Sehun-hyung. Namjoon chuckled and said, "My dear brother, don't worry so much! Just go to bed!" I nodded and went upstairs. I couldn't help but worry though...
Y/N's POV
I lay in my bed, wondering what's gonna happen next! Is this really a battle? I don't think that 'battle' is quite the proper word. At least I think so right now. I don't know what kind of chaos will be coming into my life. I sighed and got up. I am not sleepy at all. I went towards my window and pulled back the curtains.
I could see Jin's house from my window. There was a light on the top floor and someone was standing in the balcony. I frowned. Then I realized that it was Jin!

He was looking in the space, deep in thought. Suddenly, Jin looked up towards my window. I ducked but it was too late. He was waving at me. I waved back. He pulled out his phone. I frowned. Then my phone began to ring. I looked at the caller ID. It was an unknown number. I picked up and said, "Hello, who's this?"
"It's me- Jin," said Jin. I looked up to see him smiling. "How did you get my number?" I asked. "From Namjoon, of course," he replied. I nodded. Jin chuckled. "Well... I called to tell you to go and sleep," he said, "It's really cold. So, you shouldn't be standing by the window." "Look at yourself! You are standing in the balcony too!" I said.
"I... I just can't sleep," said Jin, "But I guess I can sleep now that I have heard your voice." I blushed. "I can't sleep either," I said. Jin remained silent for some time. Then he said, "Just go to bed." I frowned. "How's that gonna-" I began. "I will sing for you," said Jin. I became quiet. "Go ahead," said Jin. I just obeyed him and lay down on my bed, putting the phone on speaker. Jin softly began to sing 'Little Star' in his angelic voice.
Jin's POV
I was singing on the phone for a long time. After a few minutes, I realized that Y/N must be asleep. "Good night, Y/N. I love you," I said, hanging up and holding the phone close to my heart.
