All around the world everyone could feel an immense amount of chakra,
Everyone from Shinobi to civilians.

That should have been the 3rd Hokage's first red flag that something bad was going to happen.

"Lord Hokage that fealt to close to that things chakra, everyone is fealing it we've even had several civilians report it."

"Now now Ebisu we have eyes on the child containing it and he is asleep, as I should be doing right now."

"But-"

"No, nothing bad is going to happen"

Sasuke Uchiha had seen it all nothing fazed him anymore the killing of his family seen it about 100 times, a man crawl out of a snake seen it multiple times no problem, his at the time Sensei and Kabuto in the middle of having se- okay that one gave him nightmares but still he gave no actual sign of discomfort but-

So not wanting to go back and face that mess that is his new/old life he started his walk to the hidden cave.

So wakeing up to the sounds of his mother screaming at his father about something or other when he clearly remembered both there death in very graphic detail he could do nothing but climb out of his window muttering curse words and something about 'Troublesome all of it'

Shikamaru would never admit it out loud but he was glad when he walked into the cave Naruto and Sasuke were already there.

"SHIKAMARU" In an instant all three boys were tackling each other in a hug

"Where's Hinata?" Shikamaru regreted askeing as soon as Naruto's face fell

"Hey she lives with Hyugas it might just be hard to get away"

Naruto gave a smile that didn't quite reach his eyes

All three boys took the time to examine each other noticing the changes from grown adult men to children

No one was exactly sure

Everyone stood alert at the cry of Hinata

A tiny Hinata came running in the cave covered in blood and sweat

"Hina" Naruto immediately ran to his wife

"What happen Hinata" Shikamaru question looking around for an escape and the enamy

"Well...i'm pretty sure we messed up time and space because I was just kidnapped by the same man who tried to kidnap me when I was three I believe but I'm obviously not three I think I'm about five years old"

Everyone let that sink in
