Chapter three

EMILY'S POV
"Ring!" The bell blares through the school.

"Maia" I say "we have to go, The Demons will be here any second!"

" I know that!" Maia says back as we run through the hallways of Coal High School.

We push through crowds and kids behind us say "losers" or "watch it!"

"We need to meet Simon" I say pushing through a pack of cheerleaders.

" I know, he said he would be in the McDonalds on Broadway" Maia replies as she pushes open the doors and we burst through them inhaling the crisp air.

The trees were so beautiful because it was the middle of fall and the leaves were the colours of red, orange, yellow and green. The sun was also beautiful but carried no warmth in the chill fall brings. I notice this much as we sprint to are destination.

MAIA'S POV
"Here" I say panting like a dog.

"Ok I think I see Simon" Emily says as we walk into McDonalds.

"Simon,"I yell " let's go"

"what I nice greeting Naia" Simon says.

"its Maia!" I say aggravated.

Simon always says that to annoy me and Emily(he calls her lily).

" let's just go not fight!" Emily says.

"whatever you say lily," Simon giggles with a smile.
