Cody paced nervously around Obi-Wan's room, occasionally pausing to look at the time. It was the middle of the night, and his general hadn't returned from his mission yet. Cody's face was stricken with worry, as earlier that day rumors had spread that Kenobi had perished. Cody chose not to believe these absurd rumors and decided to wait for the general instead. Finally he heard the door open and Obi-Wan came into the room, his face covered in small scrapes and cuts. Cody ran towards him and embraced him as tightly as he could. Obi-Wan gasped, and returned the hug.
"Are you okay?" Cody asked, examining the cuts on Obi-Wan's face. "There were rumors that you'd died".
"I'm quite alright, just happy to see you," Obi-Wan smiled, pulling Cody into a kiss, ruffling his dark hair.
Cody kissed back, pulling Obi-Wan onto the bed. He held Obi-Wan like that, not letting go despite his protests saying he had to report to the Jedi Council. Obi-Wan finally gave in, cuddling his lover. He eventually drifted of into sleep, while Cody stayed away unless his boyfriend had nightmares, though he too fell asleep towards dawn. Obi-wan was awakened by footsteps near his door, resulting in him jerking upwards, waking Cody, before there was a loud obnoxious knock at the door.
"Quick! Hide!" Obi-Wan hissed, shoving Cody into a small closet, that he barely fit in.
Anakin then jerked the door, making Obi-Wan jump. "Hello master, Admiral Thrawn wanted to see you in the military building," he said, completely oblivious to the fact that Obi-Wan was half-dressed, and the small rustling noises being emitted by Cody in the closet.
"Uh yes, tell him I will be right there," Obi-Wan said, clearly flustered.
Anakin left the room, and Cody exited the closet. He look disappointed that Obi-Wan had to leave, but smiled when Obi-Wan hugged him and planted a kiss on his cheek.
"I'll be back soon," he promised. "You could come with me,"
"Sure," Cody smiles.
They both got dressed, and left the room holding hands.
