A sudden urge - the same as the one that made her want to open the door - pulled her towards the entrance of her small room. Without warning, the door sprung open and she walked out. Sweet, tinkly music played as fourteen other people also came out of their front doors. Some lived in fancy mansions, others in weak shacks.
"What's going on," Ivy tried to say, but the silence hung over the small town and she choked on her own words.
Suddenly, there were loud shouting as people around her cheered and wished Good Luck. Some voices were familiar.
"So you're saying you were Dr. Potato, last round?"
"Yeah, you were the doctor, right?"
"I was Sonic"
"What are we-" tried Ivy, but she was cut off by black silence and the force that pushed her into her room.
Ivy flicked on the light and was immediately greeted with a large card that had 'Veteran' in big writing at the top.
Next to that was a button. A big red button. Danger. That was the first word that popped into Ivy's head. What else could it be? She walked backwards towards the small couch in the room, staying as far away as possible from the button. She was already lost in this place and she couldn't risk further complications. Ivy decided against it. 'No, not today' she thought.
She needed space, to think about things. Anything at all. A simple piece of information that would help her out. Then it clicked. This was similar to what her friends were dicussing. Maybe too similar. Just then, she heard something.
A noise, of something falling. And it came from outside. She rushed to the window and peeked outside. Lying down completely shattered was a flower pot. A flash of movement caught her eye but before she could do anything, she heard another noise. A simple knock on her door. Once. Twice. Thrice.
