Accepted Ch.4
~*Halina POV*~
Mason and I walked halfway up the stairs before I stopped and hung on to the railing, panting. My legs and thighs hurt so bad and I was muttering curses under my breath the whole way up. Mason stopped and turned around, staring at me smirking. I looked up at him, still panting, trying to regain my breath. I could tell that he was trying to suppress a laugh. But he failed which resulted in a fit of laughter. He couldn't stop, and so I stood there glaring at him.
Now he was doubled over, holding his stomach, his face red. "Stairs too much for ya, princess?" Omigosh, what the hell is his problem? He laughed some more, and I couldn't take it anymore. It wasn't that funny! I stomped over to him and when he looked up, I punched him in the face. Hard.
"Now it's not so funny anymore, is it Mr. Imsocool?" He was holding a hand over his mouth, glaring daggers at me.
"What the fuck was that for!?" He asked. I've seen this all too many times before. Hot but as smart as a tin can.
I put my hands on my hips and raised an eyebrow. "Well, obviously someone's not very smart. It was for being over- dramatic smart one." He took his hand off of his mouth and stood up. There was a small cut on his lower lip that was bruising slightly.
He put his hand out for me to shake. "Well, I'm sorry... but it was so funny. Haha, you should've seen your face! So... do you accept my apology?"
Seriously? Did he really expect me to forgive him when he practically took his apology back? I snorted, crossed my arms, and began walking fast back up the stairs. He followed me quickly, catching up when we reached the top.
"Seriously? You just left me hangin' back there!" He was talking to me while walking backwards.
"Besides, you didn't even know where you were going to go." He said.
We walked up two more flights of stairs and came to a big sitting room area. The walls were painted a light, pearly pink and there were several sofas and plush chairs.
"This here is the girl's lounge," Mason told me. He continued to walk down a hallway that was just off of the lounge. It was painted the same light, pearly pink as the lounge area. There were many doors that lined the hallway with white boards hanging on them. We walked all the way to the end and stopped at the last door. Mason politely knocked three times before the door swung open. A pretty girl with bright red hair and blue eyes stood in the doorway.
She smiled, flashing perfect white teeth. "Hi! I'm Brooke! You must be Halina." She gestured for Mason and I to come in. The room was large with two twin beds on either side. Half of the room was painted a pale blue, the other half pale green. There were desks with laptops beside each bed and a bookshelf too.
"This is the room you'll be staying in. You're sharing it with me!" Brooke said excitedly. I gave her a small smile and continued to observe the room. I noticed that on top of the bed on the green side of the room, was my luggage.
"So that side," I pointed to the green side ,"I'm guessing, is mine." I said.
She smiled at me. "Yup!" she said, popping the p at the end.
