Chapter 24

The next few days, with Siyang gone, everybody was feeling down.

We were now gathered at the tennis court where the Xing Yao tennis team walked in. 

"With this kind of morale, maybe you should just let us play against Hai Guang instead." Jingwu said with a smirk as he looks around.

"In your dreams." Lu Xia said as he walked in front of them.

"So? Do you dare to face us again?"

"Ji Jingwu, Siyang isn't here now."

"Even without our captain, we can still win." Lu Xia said, not showing any expressions.

"They wouldn't dare."

"I bet you're the only one here... who would say something like that." Jingwu said to Lu Xia with a smirk.

"I bet that makes two of us." I said, confidently as I stood next to Lu Xia with the others.

Now, we were all playing against Xing Yao.

"Yu Qing, don't disappoint me." Jingwu said as he points his racket to us.

"You guys got into the national tournament. Understand?" He said as he threw his racket to his team members and started to walk out. 

"Let's go, it's getting late."

"Great. You should have stopped earlier." 

We then see Zhou Yu and Guan Yue walk in.

"Matches like this just makes me uncomfortable. You've only made it because of pure luck. You don't need to play in the national tournament. Just forfeit." Yue said as he now stood in front of us.

"Especially you, Zhou Zhi."

"If you want to lose again, I'll play with you any time." Zhou Zhi said with a smile.

"Sorry, Zhou Zhi. I know all of your moves. I'm not interested in you anymore. Now, you're just a minor character in my script. You don't deserve to be called a genius." Yue said as Yu stopped him.

"So, our school has arranged a friendly match with your school tomorrow. We're just here to rile you up, hoping that it'll boost your morale and give us a good game tomorrow. Good luck, guys. We'll get going." Yu said before they both left.

TIME SKIP

I was at the tennis court with the others, lining up in front of the Guo Zi High School tennis players.

"Let's decide the sequence of players."

"Guan Yue, Qiao Ze, and I would really like to play with Yu Qing's Golden Partners again." One of them said as he raised his hand.

"We'll play with you anytime." Dayong said as Jiale looked at him surprised.

I was now sitting next to Jiale and Lu Xia when a ball started to fly towards me but before I did anything, Lu Xia catches it before it hits me.

"Is that how you're going to take on the next few games?" I look up to see Jiuxin asked as we all stood up to meet his gaze.

Seconds later, another tennis team walks up.

'What is going on?'

"Mr. Liu?" Lu Xia mumbles.

"Hey, kiddos, I brought in a cheerleading squad. Yu Qing Tennis Club." The old man said with a smile.

Now we were all lining up in front of Yan and Dayong.

"We just found out that for Yu Feng and Hai Guang's match, Hai Guang won by three sets. So we're going to face Hai Guang High school Next."
