Demi had progressed well over the next few weeks. She kept her title of warrior and her daily battle justified it. She was fighting constantly against her own body, she had the motivation that so many people didn’t. her family stood by her; keeping her happy and strong because they knew she needed someone to believe in her and believe she could do this.

Wilmer had spent practically every day by her side. He had cancelled the majority of his work and would go if he knew that Dianna or Dallas could go over in his place till he could get back to her.

Dianna had gone over once everyone was safely out of the house and in whatever surrounding they needed to be for the day. She’d bring over Demi a collection of her favorite magazines to read and some vitamin water she was practically obsessed over.

"Hey mom" Demi smiled seeing her mother walk in. She knew that it would be her this morning instead of Wilmer as he had already told her he had to go away for work he couldn’t get out of. Demi understood he needed to go and she also wanted him to have some space.

"Sweetheart" She kissed her cheek lightly before sitting down and placing the items on the bed. "What’s got you so cheery?" She smiled.

"I want to walk today…" She blurted out. Normally her mom would be so proud for her wanting too but she looked at her and couldn’t see if it was possible. She believed in her daughters strength but also knew the extent of how slow the doctors were taking things when it came to her recovery.

”Did you want some grapes? I’m going to go down to cafe, I need a coffee” Dianna smiled, grabbing her bag and waiting for Demi to decide.

"I’m okay thanks mom" she smiled and closed her eyes gently while her mother left for a little bit. She most likely noticed her eyes were growing tired while they were talking.

Dianna sat down in the cafe with a coffee mug in one hand and a phone in the other moving it to her ear. “Wilmer hey” his voice imminently changed when he heard her voice.

"Dianna…is demi okay? I knew I shouldn’t have gone away" he began mumbling on and Dianna laughed quietly into the speaker. "She’s fine Wilmer. I need your help though" she knew he’d do just about anything if it was for Demi.

"What do you need me to do?" He asked intrigued.

Wilmer had listened carefully and told Dianna he’d be back sooner than he planned. He one more press event to attend then he was done. He skipped out on dinner with his friends they understood and told him to go as he’s only spend all night worrying. He managed to sleep on the plane back overnight and got a taxi to take him straight to the hospital. He had planned to meet Dianna there for around 10am.

"Morning babe" Wilmer walked in, he went straight to Demi kissing her passionately on the lips before sitting on the edge of the bed next to her.

"I thought you were away till tomorrow night?" She asked, she looked incredibly happy he was back earlier but confused.

"Plans got changed" he kept it simple. Demi didn’t feel the need to ask further if he wanted too she knows he would later on.

"Anything happen while I wasn’t here?" He was hinting away and looked at his girlfriend who still seemed clueless.

"Wilmer. I want to try walk today,” she said which such a determined spirit attached to her voice. Wilmer imminently backed away. He didn’t want her to loose hope in case she was still too weak. She had made so much progress but walking was a step above everything else.

"Maybe you should wait for the doctors to suggest it" he couldn’t nicely tell her she was over doing it. How could he discourage her this was the best she’d been in months. She was finally letting herself motivate and recover. This is whys they all dreamed she’d do.

"You don’t seemed surprised" she suddenly questioned. He went even more silent. He looked at the door to where Dianna was stood before she walked over.

"I told him okay Demi? I don’t think it’s a good idea in case" she tried to tactfully explained but Demi interrupted without letting her finish.

"In case I can’t do it? I know I can do it. Okay?" The tears were beginning to slowly descade down her cheeks. She believed in herself why didn’t they?

"Demi, baby, calm down" Wilmer’s hand supported rubbed her arm up and down trying to soothe his girl. He hadn’t seen her this worked up in ages.

"I hate when you all gang up on me" her bottom lip came up. She pouted lightly as her mom and boyfriend sat either side of her. There was now an awkward silence as no one knew what to say to make the situation better.

"Hey, we don’t gang up on you…we care about you. And I believe in you and I believe that you believe you can do this but I also hope you trust me when I say I think it’s too soon and I’d rather you waited a little longer till they were certain okay?" Wilmer had an amazing way with words. He could pretty convince Demi of anything. She debated his proposal and nodded sadly. He leant up to kiss her forehead. He watched Demi close her eyes. She was getting tired and the argument that just occurred most likely didn’t help. Dianna mouthed "thank you" across to Wilmer he just smiled.
