Part 4 : Friends Again?

Jonah and I stop hugging, and he goes off to ask Aaron. A few minutes pass, and they walk into my room. I jump up excitedly and Aaron says "Emerson, we are letting you go back to school, but you cannot tell anyone that you live with us." "Okay! I got it!" I said while hugging Aaron.

A few days go by, and its my first day of school again. I was really nervous because I haven't seen any of the people for weeks,but I'm super exited because I'm excited to see my friends again! Avianna drops me off, and I walk inside, nervous as ever.

I walked past Mr.Greens room to my locker, and guess what. The biggest jerk was waiting at my locker. His name is Ryan. Ryan, of course is the most popular boy in school, and he likes to bully me and my friends. He says "Hey nerd, did your mom kill herself like your dad yet?" I stopped what I was doing, and put my bag down. "Shut up bitch." I said while pushing him.

We got in a fight because Mr. Popular can't be known having a loner push him. While we were fighting, Mr. Green came out of his room, and pushed us away from each other. He sent us to the principals office. I sat down and sighed. Mrs. Reynolds walks into the room and sits down.

Mrs. Reynolds says "Ms. Weston, tell me what happened between you too." "He called me a nerd, and brought up my father, so I pushed him, and them he started punching me." I said. He started to say "No-" but Mrs. Reynolds interrupted him saying "I did not ask you to speak Mr. Jansen," "Ms. Weston, I have another question. Why haven't you been at school for the past month?" "Can he leave, its kinda personal." I say. She nods and he walks out. "I haven't been at school because I ran away from home, you already know why, but don't worry, I'm with one of my dads old friends." I said. "Oh okay, I just wanted to make sure you were safe." she said.

I walk out, and Ryan goes in. I walk back to the classroom and sit next time Samiyah. If you don't know, Samiyah has been my best friend since first grade. THAT 9 YEARS OF BEING BESTIES! In class, she passes me a not the says "Hey girlie, where have you been?" I wrote back "Oh, I ran away from home finally, and I moved in with one of my dads friends." She nodded her head response and we continued with class.

We headed to lunch together. "So is the band still together?" I asked while laughing. "Kind of, Joshua hangs out with the pops, and Caleb sits with us." She says the last part kind of excitedly. She knows I like Caleb, but something was off when she said his name. We walked into the cafeteria, and sat down at our usual table.

Mya ran up to me and hugged me, and so did everyone else. We all sat down and I said "Okay Okay, I know y'all have a bunch of questions, so imma answer them all. Yes, I know I haven't been here since before Christmas break. But I have a reason. I finally ran away from home, with Jax of course. But he ran away from me I guess. We ran to an abandoned place just for the night, he wasn't there when I woke up. But after I woke up, I went to Jeff's house, Jeff is my dads friend btw. And now I live with him!" "Wow! You answered all my questions." Jacob says while laughing. "and that's a sick story." Caleb said. We all started laughing and talking like we used to, but there was something off with Samiyah and Caleb the entire time.

After lunch, I walked with Mya to Mrs.Anderson's class. I asked her "Hey, did anything happen between Samiyah and Caleb? "No, why do you ask?" She says quickly. "No reason." I said. She seems like she knows something. I'll ask Jacob tomorrow. After school, Ben picked me up from school. He asked me "So, how was your first day back?" "Well it was okay, except that my friends are betraying me, and I got in a fight with the biggest jerk ever." I said. "Why'd you get in a fight?" He asked. "He brought up my father." I said silently. "Aww, do you want McDonald's to cheer you up?" He asked. "Yes Yes, a million times yes!" I said "Okay, what'd you like to eat?" He asked. "Hmm. Can I get a kids meal 4 piece?. I asked. "Sure" he said.

We got the food, and went home. We walked into the kitchen and I sat next to Isabella. I gave her a few fries. I get lost in my thoughts "I feel so happy here. This place is my happy home. Well, my first ever real home. I call Aaron and his wife, mom and dad now. They are basically the parents that I've never had. Everyone else is basically my siblings. I'm the closest with Ben. He knows everything from my eating disorder to my favorite color. I know he won't tell anyone anything."

I got so lost in my thoughts that I didn't notice I was crying. Avianna was next time me trying to get my attention, while mom was getting water to splash in my face. They thought I was having a panic attack again. I snapped back into reality when the water hit my face. At this point everyone was in the room except for Isabella and Amelia. Jonah asks "Eme, are you okay?" "Yea, I'm fine, I just got caught up with thinking about stuff." I said while wiping my tears away. "No need to cry about the past or the future. Its already happened or it took far away from happening." Mom said. "I wasn't thinking of the past, I was thinking of right now, of you guys." I said. "You guys are probably the only reason why I'm here right now. I'm glad I found you guys when I did. I'm glad you guys decided to keep me. You guys are my family that I've never had. I love you guys" I pull them into a hug, and they say "We love you too Eme."
