Part 2 : A New Life

I woke up by someone shaking me, it was the girl who dragged me to the room last night. She yelled "Guys, she's awake now!" Everyone else comes in, besides Amelia. The leader guy, Aaron, said "Hey, since you said you ran away from home, do you want to stay with us?" I said "Sure, since there's no where else for me to go." I saw the shortest guy get sad for me. My thoughts got ruined by Avianna saying "Okay, get ready girly! You have a long day ahead of you! I wondered what she meant by that.

They all left the room, and I started getting ready. I was getting ready to walk out of my room, then I remembered Jax. I started thinking "Wait, where did Jax go? He was with me last night." I almost started crying, because I missed him so much, but I didn't, cause I didn't wanna act like a baby infront of everyone. I started looking for everyone. I was about to call out for Amelia cause I couldn't find them, but then I heard a loud bang from behind me. I slowly turned around, and saw who I believed was Benjamin, he was lying in the ground with scratches and broken glass. I stuttered "A-Amelia, A-Aaron? Anyone? I need your help!" They all ran to the room I was in. Aaron asked me "What happened?" "Well I was looking for you guys, and then I heard a loud bang from behind me, and I turned around and saw him on the floor." I said. "Avianna, Jonah, go get the first aid kit and some towels." Aaron said.

I was getting worried. I was thinking "Is this all my fault, did I make him fall? Did he hurt himself because of me?" My anxiety was going all over the place. I started having a panic attack. I couldn't hear or see anything cause of my attack. Suddenly I felt like about 4 arms shaking me. Then I felt water splash in my face, and that calmed me down. Avianna said "Finally, we've been trying to calm you down for an hour." "Sorry." I said quietly so they couldn't hear me. It turns out that Benjamin just slipped and passed out.

A few hours later, Avianna and Amelia walk into my room. Avianna says "Hey girly, want some food? Amelia and I are going to the grocery store to pick up some food now." I said "Sure, can I just get a granola bar? I'm not that hungry." She said "Sure, but later you have to more." They walked off. I obviously couldn't tell them about my eating disorder, they would probably get rid of me if I told them.

A few minutes later, they come back and say "Get up, we are all eating together." As I was getting up, I said "Okay." They led me to a room where there was a lot of food, and the rest of the people. Amelia handed me my granola bar, and said "Are you sure you don't want anything else to eat?" I said "Yea." We all sit down and start eating. It was all quiet until Jonah asked me "So, I have a question for you Emerson, why did you run away from home?" I said "Umm because of my mom and step dad." He asked me "Why, what did they do to you?" "They umm, they abused me." I said quietly. He quickly regretted asking me that. They all looked sad, so I said "No need to feel sorry for me, it happens to the best of us." We finished eating our food in silence.
