Part 5

No one's p.o.v

They went to Sammy and Sara's place, Andy told Junghwan he can leave if he wants to but surprisingly he was polite  he said he is fine.

"Boy that's sus! What happened? You were so rude while ago." Boram asked Junghwan and he just smiled.

"He can smile too? Wow." Haruto joked and Junghwan sealed his lips then.

"Let him be. Don't make fun of him, he is very shy when it comes to socializing." Andy took her cousin's side this time.

"They have many things in common." Sara mumbled and two people heard it, Jae and her boyfriend Yoshi. They looked at each other.

Yoshi and Jae also talked about this earlier, on their way to Sammy's place.

"Yoshi, that cousin of Andy?" Jae said after buckling up the seatbelt.

"Yeah."

"He reminds me of Asahi." Yoshi's face got darkened after hearing his long gone friend's name.

"I know." He replied and his answer was very short. Jae knew why is that, Yoshi never mentioned his name for the past years, Asahi was his childhood friend so he got affected by it the most. So Jae never tried to build up conversations about Asahi with him, knowing how badly he can get hurt by that. Asahi is one of the main reasons why Yoshi decided to go back to Japan.

Jae kept silent because she was afraid that her words might hurt him.

"Do you remember when we first started talking?" Yoshi spoke up again. Of course Jae remembered everything like those things happened yesterday.

Flashback

"Jae, Boram, Sara this is Yoshi, Haruto and Asahi. Say hi!" Andy said after dragging them to their school cafeteria.

Other 3 girls knew that Andy became closer with Haruto but they didn't expect this. To have lunch together?

"Hi Yoshi!" Jae shyly said hi to him and he smiled at her before greeting her back.

"Where's Junkyu?" Andy asked from Boram.

"He got in trouble for skipping classes with Jihoon, currently in principal's office."she said.

Yoshi and haruto was very talkative and cheerful guys but Asahi was the opposite, he looked like he was mad about something so others were kinda scared of him.

Only Sara was able to see from his perspective, she was not an extrovert too not like her friends, so she was the only one there who could relate to Asahi.

Asahi was sitting in front of her, and she tried so hard not to look at his eyes and he was the same. Others were too busy to notice the awkward couple. So they kept glancing at each other without talking.

Then Sara decided to talk first. But she didn't knew what to say.

"Hi!" She finally said. By that one word Asahi's face started blushing. Haruto who was sitting next to him noticed that right away.

"He is blushing again." He said out loud making others look at Asahi too.

"Just a word from her can make him blush what the hell." It was Yoshi.

"Stop it! He is shy can't yall see." Andy said, Asahi smiled at Andy before looking back at Sara and ask her.

"Can I get your number?"

End of the flashback

Back to Jae's p.o.v

"Yeah, Asahi acted just like Junghwan that day." I said.

"Maybe, he came to replace Asahi's place in Sara's heart." Yoshi said making me wanna punch him.

"Don't tell those nonsense to Sara, Yoshi I'll punch your nose if you do." I warned him.

"I was not joking, do you think it's a good decision to grieve over the past, it's been 5 years Jae. She has to move on." He was right at that point.

"I know but do you think replacing Asahi will be an easy task for her? You don't know her then Yoshi." I said.

"I know her. I know that she loved Asahi so damn much, that's why she didn't mind dating him even after he said that he is physically not a healthy person." Yoshi said.

"So you know, and you says she can replace Asahi in no time?"

"No time? It's been years Jae, help her to get over with Him. As her friends that's what ya'll should do." Yoshi said, everything he said was correct. We both kept silent while driving back to Sammy's place.

No one's p.o.v

"Sara can we go outside and talk?" Jae asked her. She agreed and both of them went outside.

"How's life?" Jae asked her first.

"You already know the answer." Sara said and sat under the redwood tree and Jae sat next to her.

"I know, you are still thinking about him."

"Yeah, can you believe me how stupid I am? I still pay his phone bill just to hear his voice. It's the only way I can hear him" Jae's heart started aching for her, she couldn't even imagine what will happen if something like this happen to her love, Yoshi.

"I'm not forcing you to get over him-"

"I know, I know ya'll won't do that. I have to find my own way back out of this. I loved him, I still do and I will forever because he is safe in my heart but as he said I have to smile again." That's what Sara said and her words make Jae smile.

"True." Jae smiled at her. Jae wanted to tell Sara about how she found Junghwan has similarities with Asahi but she was afraid, she didn't wanted to hurt her.

"That guy." Sara spoke.

"Who?"

"Junghwan, he kinda reminds me of Asahi." Sara said.

"I know, I felt that too." Jae replied and then they heard Boram calling for them.

"We should go inside." Jae told Sara.

"I'll come. You go first." Jae nodded and left Sara there.

"Asahi, I'm still single and alone, I'm used to this. You were my happiness and sadness, you were my everything but I guess it's time for me to stop thinking that you'd come back to me, as I said I'm used to this but it's kinda getting hard now. If I keep this up, I won't be able to smile as you wished." That's what Sara said to Asahi that day.

"Sara~" she heard a voice calling her name. She looked to see the owner of the voice, he has came to take her back inside.

And because of the interruption of the owner of that voice, Sara couldn't listen to Asahi's voicemail that day as she do usually.
