It's intriguing how quickly a robotics fascination and a simple infatuation could turn to shit so quickly.

"Johnny B. Goode" -CHUCK BERRY

"Woah woah." One of the boys said, putting his hands out as he realized you were armed. "We don't want any trouble, now.
"Shit okay uh.. we're just passing through." The other said, much more nervous than the other.
You tried making out their features from the moonlight shining brightly into the empty building. The first one was about six feet tall, a red beanie covering his head, sharp jawline and a pointier nose.
The guy next to him was a brunette, hair rather long and fluffed—a few inches shorter than the beanie guy. He maybe had a few freckles with a rounder jawline, his expression much more nervous.
"I'm sorry, we're just looking around." Audrey apologized, putting her pipe on the ground and taking a step back.
"Oh no worries, it's fine." The beanie guy said. "You guys bored on a Saturday night too?"
"Yeah." You said, chuckling awkwardly.
"Have you been up to the clock tower yet?" The brunette asked, gesturing up to the stairwell.
"No, we were actually headed that way." Julian said.
"Oh. We can show you the way if you want. The stairwell comes to a little intersection type of thing and we've been here a few times before so we know the way." He said, gesturing back towards the stairs.
"Oh, okay." Audrey puts her hands in her coat pocket. "I'm Audrey."
Jules' introduces himself before you quickly stated your name, giving a small gesture.
The taller one steps forward. "I'm Mike and this is Jeremy."
"Pleasure to meet you, fellow travelers." Audrey smiled before the five of you step up the stairwell.
"Hey, nice jacket." Mike complimented, looking towards you. "Huh? Oh, thanks." You shared a quick grin before looking back towards the rusted stairs.
The top of the clock tower was astonishing. There was a part of the clock part that was shattered so you could see outside.
"Wow.." You mumbled. "Yeah." Jeremy chuckled. "I remember when me and Mike first came up here."
The five of you sat on a ledge outside, with the exception of you and Julian sitting on the windowsill instead of the ledge right above certain death.
"You do realize that if that ledge- balcony- whatever it is, falls, then you'd all be dead right?" You raised an eyebrow.
"We should be fine." Mike laughs.
"So what do you guys do for a living?" Jeremy questions. "I work at a pizzeria place." You responded, shoving my hands back in my pockets.
"Hey, would there happen to be a job opening at that pizzeria place you work at?" Mike asked.
"I mean, probably. We might need another janitor and possibly a night guard or two." You shrugged.
"Alright. Here's my number just in case." Mike handed you a small piece of paper.
"Do you just have pieces of paper in your pocket with your number on it?" You laughed. "Well, no.. i was going to give it to a girl I met at a thrift store today but she dipped before I could." His lips formed into a line. Jeremy started laughing.
"Yeah it was funny as fuck."
"Ouch." You winced and took the paper before putting it in your pocket.
"What time is it?" Audrey asked.
Mike checked his watch. "Uhh, about a quarter til one. Why?"
"Oh fuck." You mumbled.
"What? What is it?" He asked.
"I didn't mean to be out this late."

You ran as fast as you possibly could down the street. The street lights were dimmed, a few bulbs even busted. It was hard not to trip on the little cracks in the concrete sidewalk.
You watched as the house came into view and slowed down. You carefully picked up the spare key where it usually is outside and unlocked the door quietly.
You pushed the door open, wincing as a loud creak sounded from the door. You didn't want to wake anyone up. Your face paled when you saw a figure sitting in the arm chair with the lamp on.
