Kaeya | Abyss Mage

Oooooo I would so love a one shot where we head into a temple with Kaeya and then while fighting an Abyss mage, she goes to like hurt Kaeya, but we like push him out of the way and take the shot for him, and then it follows him trying to keep you awake while rushing you back Mondstand, you can choose if we survive or not lol

In the split of a second, Kaeya was face to face with the floor. His sword had skidded a few feet from him. As he turned towards the source of his impact, he heard a sharp gasp release from your lips. Alongside it, your body fell to the floor, much like his did when you pushed him.

He was experiencing tunnel vision and could only see your fallen figure. The cackling of an abyss mage had filled his ears.

Kaeya never agreed to this. He never agreed to putting you in danger. But it wasn't like you gave him a choice. You were begging him, desperate for him to spare time to explore a temple with you. If he denied, you would've headed in anyway, so he had to come along.

Much to his regret, however.

He picked up his feet and jolted towards you. Gently, yet quickly, wrapping his arms around you, he brought you to his torso and began sprinting, neglecting his sword, and neglecting the abyss mage. He didn't have time to deal with it right now, you were his first priority.

The daylight made him wince, after being in the temple for so long.

A low groan erupted from your lips, alerting the male that carried you. He continued sprinting as he observed your features. Your eyes were fluttering open, just barely.

"[Y/n]," he cried, "stay with me."

His words seemed to enlighten you, as you now had a gentler expression on your face. You knew it in your heart you wouldn't make it. The remnants of fire began to etch onto your skin, burning you. Kaeya quickly took note of this and put it out.

"Kaeya..."

Man, this sucked. You were expecting to tell him you love him tonight, but the abyss mage trailing behind you left you no choice.

Working up most of your might, you said, "I love--"

"No. No. No, no, no. Don't tell me that now. You're going to make it. You can tell me when you're all healed."

As much as he was desperate to hear those words from you, he was determined for the timing to be more romantic. You were in the same boat with him: wanting badly to tell him your feelings.

The city of wind had finally come into view. Guards at the gate quickly alerted everyone once they laid eyes on the abyss mage. One had gone to fetch a Barbara. Residents of Mondstadt were out on the streets now, after hearing news. They could barely recognize Kaeya when he sped past them.

His eyes were flowing with tears and his face was struck with fear. Fear of losing you.

Nonetheless, his feet continued to run to Barbara.

She was absolutely shocked to see him in his current state, but she understood why. Without wasting a moment, she motioned for Kaeya to place you down on a nearby bench. He reluctantly did so.

Whilst the healer did her magic, his thoughts were filled with regret.

If only he was more aware of his surroundings. Maybe then you'd be laughing with him right now. Maybe you'd be joyous over the victory of defeating the abyss mage right now.

But you weren't. You were currently laying lifeless. Your fate was in the hands of the healer.

If only he had gotten there sooner. Maybe then you'd be awake right now. Maybe then Barbara wouldn't be telling him it was too late.
