The Wind Archon was troubled.

He didn't understand why you chose to spend time with someone else. Or why you didn't want to be with him.

He sat underneath the swaying branches, recalling the times you two spent there.

The two of you would bask in the chilly shade of the trees, and at times, he would turn to face you, memorizing the peaceful look on your face. And each time, you'd catch him, smirking as the blush on his cheeks reddened. But those lovely moments would be cut short, as you'd say you have to go.

The first time, he remembered how harsh the wind was.

"It sure feels nice, doesn't it [Y/n]?" He had asked, closing his eyes. Instead of a verbal answer, however, he felt a sudden impact on his lap. His eyes shot wide, and you had invited yourself to sit on his lap, facing him.

He tilted his head in confusion, hoping his blush would go unnoticed. And as you were about to tell him why you moved to his lap, he recalled how cute your smirk was.

"We can't have the wind blowing you away, now can we?" Venti smiled at your response, letting you stay there. He loved how silly you were.

The two of you continued to enjoy the scenery. Birds gliding along with the wind, trees dancing, and flowers struggling to stay put.

"Shoot! I forgot I had to go do something!" You scrambled to get off of him, careful not to hurt him. You bowed, "Sorry Venti, see you next time!" It all happened so fast, and he brushed off your sudden outburst.

The second time, you two were in another intimate position.

He was laying back on the grass, and you had the great idea to lay on top of him. Your head was placed on his chest, legs intertwined with his. His heartbeat accelerated from the closeness, and you giggled when you heard it.

He remembered wishing the moment had lasted longer, as shortly after, you said you had to go again. As he watched your figure run towards Mondstadt, his frowned. He was sure it was nothing, but he couldn't help thinking it was something wrong with him.

After the third and forth time, his suspicion grew greatly.

He remembered how heated the moment was. Your faces were both flushed and your lips were nearing each others. But right before he could feel your lips touch his, you shot upwards.

"I'm late again!" He had no response. His mind was still trying to comprehend what was about to happen.

He didn't even hear you promising that this would be the last time you would leave. All he could do was let his heart sink into reality. You two were about to kiss.

Your first kiss.

But it didn't happen.

What could be so important that you couldn't spare time to kiss him? Did you even have feelings for him? Or were you just leading him on for a worse heartbreak?

When he snapped out of his thoughts, he was determined to follow you this time. He knew it wasn't right, but he was just too curious. He deserved an answer after all.

He followed you all the way back to Mondstadt, the city where you always ran to when you left him.

Your trail had lead all the way to the tavern. This confused him even more. The tavern was supposed to be closed during this time. So what business did you have being there? The only other person who had access in it was..

Diluc.

That's who you've been spending time with. Each time you left Venti was to run to Diluc.

As the wind god realized this, his heart sunk for the second time. He could hear your laughs from outside the door. But as much as his heart fluttered at the sound of your laugh, he ran back towards the tree, to let his tears fall.

__________

"Venti! There you are!" You ran as fast as you could to him, careful not to drop what you were holding, and the addressed god had to quickly wipe his tears away. But it wasn't fast enough to go unnoticed by you.

"Uh.. Hey [Y/n]!" He chirped, (as best as he could). His voice was hoarse from his recent sobbing, but he mustered up the courage to speak to you.

The sight of his puffy eyes made you drop to your knees, the item you carried fell to the floor. Instantly, you hugged him tight in your arms. You didn't need to ask why he was crying, you already suspected it was because the god followed you to find out why you kept leaving.

Pulling apart, you stared into his eyes. It wasn't exactly the perfect time to confess, but you needed to let him know.

"I.. I like you!" You shouted. "H-honestly, 'like' isn't the right word. Venti, I.."

Would you dare tell him you love him?

Before you made up your mind, a pair of hands grabbed your cheeks. Soft lips had placed themselves on yours, and, on reflex, you wrapped your arms around his neck.

The two of you moved your lips in sync, enjoying the warmth each of you provided.

It stayed like that for a couple moments, till you had to pull apart for air.

"I guess you deserve an explanation for my leaving.." You started, "I've been meeting up with Master Diluc so he can help me make dandelion wine. I-I know you can't buy too many, so I thought I could surprise you with some I made by myself..!" You reached for the items you dropped earlier.

As you did so, Venti was in shock. Not only had you two just shared your first kiss, but all this time you had been perfecting your skills to make dandelion wine, just for him.

No longer did his heart sink. The beating rang loudly in his ears, and he just had to kiss you again.

"Here! I made this earlier tod- mmph!" Venti ignored your words and leaned in, capturing your lips again. It took you a moment, but you melted into his arms.

You two spent the rest of the day drinking dandelion wine and kisses.
