Percy's POV

After I flashed away, I found myself in front of my statue. As I read all my accomplishments, I could not but feel a little sad. I was lost in my head when I heard someone's heartbeat and footsteps. My finger pulled back a string to release the blade in my hand as I turned around and saw it was Annabeth. She was wearing her orange camp T-shirt with black jeans, and a denim jacket. She had her drakon sword in her sheath and her hair was tied back. She looked up at me in surprise, not seeing my face as it was covered by my hood.

"Oh sorry, I didn't think anyone would be here," she said.

"It's okay, I was just looking at the statue," I replied.

"Do you know him or maybe heard of him, seen him?" She asked hopefully.

"No. I have never seen or heard of Percy Jackson. Who was he?"

She wiped a tear from her eyes before she started to explain. "He is..." She paused and then continued. "He was my boyfriend and a Hero of Olympus. He was Poseidon's son and was a very powerful demigod. He was loved by many people at the camp, and some of the gods on Olympus began to respect him even more as well"

I looked at her, confusion in my eyes, and asked "What happened to him?"

Murderous rage passed her face and she growled "Kai happened. He's another son of Poseidon or at least we thought he was."

I looked at her in surprise " What do you mean, thought he was?"

"After Percy left, the entire camp learned that Kai had done a bunch of different bad things and went to go interrogate him. I went with them. When we got into the Poseidon cabin, all of Kai's stuff was gone and we found a vial on the floor, along with some weird herbs and markings." She said sadly.

I looked at her and nodded for her to continue.

She started again "Kai was a son of Hectate. He used powerful magic to make it seem like he was a son of Poseidon and then manipulated the mist to frame Percy. He made me drink a love potion, along with a memory attachment and I couldn't remember anything from the day Percy left. He even somehow bewitched everyone at camp into thinking Poseidon claimed him as his favorite son. In reality, the gods had not interacted with anyone at Camp Half-Blood, because they were trying to combine camps. We sent a manhunt to find Kai but we haven't seen him since. We lost one of the best demigods we've all known because we all were too weak to see through the Mist, and I lost the only man I've ever loved. Even now after 200 years, I still miss him."

I stayed there, almost trembling. I had not known any of that and I'm glad my hood was up because I fear she might have seen me crying or the anger written across my face. Something occurred to me after a while.

"You said this all happened 200 years ago? So how are you alive? In fact, how are any of you alive?"

She responded quickly "The gods awarded some of the best camp counselors with immortality, similar to Artemis's Hunters. And the Heroes each became Immortal generals in the armies of Olympus with some of our abilities enhanced. The Heroes are each teachers at Camp Demigod and we help Chiron with running the camp. We created The City."

I looked puzzled "The City?"

She nodded "We got the idea from New Rome but because we realized Roman or Greek, we are still American, we just call it the city. It's protected by magic and godly defense, a mix of Terminus boundary powers and Thalia's tree. With that and being protected by the demigods who train at the camp and live there, it's been safe for a while."

I was astonished by the fact that something like that was created. "Can you take me to it?"

She smiled and said "Sure"

Annabeth's POV

Death and I, or Omega as the people who knew him called him, explored the City with earnest. I loved talking to him about it. I was able to show pride in my work and he showed respect. We also laughed and cried at a lot of different stuff. He was surprised by the fact that the city was in the far beyond the strawberry fields, and was hidden by an invisible barrier. He had changed before we left, and was now wearing a black long sleeve, with these combat pants and boots. He had a silver skull chain on and wasn't wearing a hood anymore. He had long hair, and his eyes were purple with a mix of silver and sometimes green in them. He looked beautiful and somehow familiar.

We had passed a child and he was playing with them, while I laughed. The kid was wearing a shirt and jeans, running around with a wooden sword.

"Sorry for bumping into you sir," the kid said.

Omega laughed and replied "Your okay kid."

The kid looked at me and said "Hey Aunt Annie"

Omega looked at me in surprise.

"He's my brother Malcolm descendent. I'm not his Aunt but they all call me that. He's a legacy of Athena born in the City of Camp Demigod." I replied

Omega nodded and murmured " I knew that"

I giggled and we continued walking until I heard a loud bang. Omega and I looked at each other before running to the entrance of the city. The invisible barrier shook and a small rectangle like window in the circle opened up. From it, Kai stepped out with a sword and armor on, riding a hellhound.

"Hello, Annie. Did you miss me?"
