This is slightly inspired by the song "Heather" not by much though just kinda wishing they were somewhat better… ANYWAY! You should listen to "putting a spin on Heather" by "egg". It's really good!
TW self-doubt, depression and suicide...

Peter's patrol was put on pause today, he absolutely dreaded that. He felt guilty that he wasn't helping someone when he should be. But he couldn't go out, his suit was being fixed.
So he went out on a walk, hopefully noticing that everyone was safe. It was 10:34 on a Friday night, lots of things could go wrong. But something in particular was worse.
He saw someone settled over the side of the bridge, looking down into the water.
Michelle was hunched over the side of the bridge, looking down in the water. Tears softly fell from her eyes and made their way down to the tip of her nose, falling off into the water. Her eyes soon closed, taking in the moment.
"I was I were better,"
She bit her lip tighter as more and more tears fell into the water.
"What?" Her breath hitched and looked to where the sound had come from. It was Peter.
She kicked her foot and cursed under her breath, thanks to Peter tingle™ he had heard it all. Her hands made their way to her face and she quickly brushed her tears as if that would help. She soon comprehended that it did nothing, as they wouldn't stop, and leaned forward and muttered a whatever.
"Michelle, we're not avoiding this… it's either you talk now or I'll be nagging you about for the rest of your days," Peter felt disrespectful for wanting her to talk straight away but he wanted to fix it straight away.
"Just go, Parker," He didn't move. "Please," She looked up at him, something about his gaze made her feel the desire to open up to him. So she did.
It all astonished Peter. Her family came across as stupid. No one should neglect their child like that.
She went on a rant about how her sister was always praised for something she did, even if Michelle did better. How her sister was always the one to be asked first, how her sister always had better things. How she, Michelle, wasn't praised for anything she did. Michelle never got anything for her birthday when she was younger, she never got attention; she only experienced how much she needed it when she had met Peter and Ned. Even if the two boys didn't hang out or talk with her much, she still loves the attention.
She never received gifts until Peter offered her a book she's been dying to afford. She had cried that night skimming through it's, did someone care enough to get something she wanted?
So that Friday night, that night his suit was getting fixed, he couldn't be more grateful. He could've lost his Michelle- his? Woah, where'd that come from?
He held her tight, far away from the bridge, and calmed her as she vented. Something Michelle had never gotten to do…
Her crying withered down into tinier sniffles. Her head rested in the crook of Peters's neck, her nose tickling his collar bone. "Michelle, you do matter. Believe me, you're already better than your sister. Your parents just don't see how stunning you are," His thumb caressed the back of her neck. Hearing faint snores, he looked out at the stars above him. Holding Michelle in his arms and being out in the stars at 12:31 am was everything he needed.
He pressed a small kiss to Mj's head and whispered a "g'night" before drifting off himself.
