an average day for the teen male named seong tae-hoon. for he had spent his days and nights playing arcade games, which caused bags to be placed on his handsome face. he had beaten a few kids in the back alley, torturing them for enjoyment. he would say his actions were justified, he needed 500 won and they wouldn't give it to him.
putting one of his now many 500 won's in the insert slot of the machine, he began another round. he sighed as there was a 'second player insert' waiting to be welcomed into the game. if no one showed up, it would be an ai he would be against.
expecting it to be like the other rounds he had, he waited until the ai was chosen, until the player two had entered. a name popped up, goblin.gamer. he looked over to see a toothy smile on a pink headed girl, who's left eyebrow he could see was green. a weird combo he thought as the girl now turned to look at him with wide eyes that felt, not intimidated or frightened but more welcoming and gentle. both eyebrows were bleached green.
she wore pastel peach and yellow jacket that had a white collared shirt underneath and plaid skirt matching the color scheme. the entire look she had, it all looked good on the girl.

she bent down and got something from her backpack, tae-hoon watching with bored eyes as she finally came up with a bag of honey butter chips. she opened it and gestured it towards him, "want some?" nodding, he took some, and looked back to the screen. if she was a guy, he would have taken it with force but he held ladies at a higher respect, being a slight gentleman. the pinkette had placed the chips in-between the buttons area and her attention was now also on the screen ahead.
with a smile that caressed her face, she began mashing buttons, spamming combo's as if she played this before, which she had. she played with grace while he struggled to keep up. again, if she were a guy he would've put her head through the screen.
both of them took a few chips from the bag while playing, trying their upmost best to show the other opponent who was better. the pinkette had taken the lead long before and now had to use her final finisher to beat him. he sighed as he gave up and just watched while eating. the girl had pressed the buttons so elegantly without looking down on the buttons area. he looked at her hands and saw colorful kid bandages on many of the fingers, some had been soaked with dry red and others barely had nothing on it.
"yay!1!!!!" she flung her hands up above her head as she celebrated. "i won! wanna have a rematch?!" tae-hoon lazily blinked at her, "i'm fine, i'll stick to just watching," he replied as he had taken the chip bag all for himself. giving him a pout, the girl went back to the game and put 500 won in to begin another match. tae-hoon kept to his word as he watched while binging on the snack.
the girl was about to win against the ai, which he was impressed with her skill, that was until a hand bonked her head, making her lose focus which ultimately made her lose the game. "OI [Y/N]! I TOLD YOU TO HELP YOUR BROTHER CLEAN UP!" the owner of the arcade shouted. "PAPA COME ON I WAS PLAYING WITH MY FRIEND!" [y/n] tried reasoning with her father, "LIAR, YOU DON'T EVEN TALK TO STRANGERS!", her father objected, [y/n] tried to deflect, "I DO, SEE ME AND ... d- daniel ...? YEAH, DANIEL ARE FRIENDS!" tae-hoon sweat dropped at his new name, he saw the arcade owner pose twitch in anger and slight fear, "HIS NAME'S TAE-HOON DUMB IDIOT! GO HELP YOUR BROTHER! NOW!" with a pout, [y/n] waved to 'daniel', tae-hoon waved lazily back and went to the back of the arcade.
"sorry tae-hoon, my daughter meant no disrespect." the adult apologized to the taekwondo professional, being afraid to upset him. "whatever, i've never seen her here." tae-hoon would say he did not care but knowing something about the pinkette wouldn't hurt.
"yeah, she got back from boarding school." the dyed hair boy nodded, "she'll be around more?" he kept his sentences short, not wasting time with the older man. "i'm not sure, she's trying to get used to this area." sighing, tae-hoon got up, the adult flinching as tae-hoon did not acknowledge at his reaction. the teen waved a small goodbye, leaving the arcade with a fragment smile. he had kept the chip bag in his other hand and munched on it. that day he didn't torture anyone, minding his own business, though many were still wary.
for the girl named [y/n], she was helping her younger brother with ksl, she sighed with a pout. signing while talking she told her brother that if he could do the microwave hand gesture (the pinky moves up and down so cute to her!) she'd give him candy. with eagerness, the boy did as told and she decided to spice his life and do a magic trick while at it.
putting her hand behind her ear, she put one finger to tell him wait a second as she put a struggling act on her face. with heavy breathes that made her trick seem tough, she fell but then got up to unravel her hand and show an éclair. her brother smiling with clapping hands, he eagerly grabbed it and popped it in his mouth, savoring his sweet and well deserved treat!
laughing with her brother, [y/n] looked back to see the door open with a frustrated father entering. she prepared herself to get a mouthful of insults thrown at her. she saw him look at her disappointingly, "before we begin, put him to bed. now." with a strict tone, [y/n] stood as quickly as she could and signed to her brother that it was time for bed.
doing as she was told, she slowly crept her way through the halls to the main area. she sweat dropped at what was about to happen as she knew it would end in the same ways it always did. her father would yell, yell, yell and she would have to stand there and take it. sometimes she was glad sung-min, her brother, was deaf so that he wouldn't have to hear the constant arguing.
"i see you so stop hiding and get over here." the father was pacing around back and forth. why did she go to that dangerous boy? does she know the harm she could have been put through? the harm she would cause him and sung-min?
once he saw her standing with her head held down, he took initiative, "why would you talk to him?! do you know how dangerous that child is? he would torture us! harm us! think about everyone but yourself!" she looked back at her father, confusion and pique laced in her tone, "i don't know who he is! with honesty, i truly don't know and didn't know! he seemed like a kid my age and since i got here yesterday, i thought he could be my first friend!"
sighing, the father rubbed his temples. he forgot she had just came back and forgot to fill her in on who seong tae-hoon was. "just ..., just go to bed. it's late and you need rest. c'mere bunny, papa's missed his kit."
a grin grew to form on [y/n]'s visage as she rushed to the opened arm father, both grasping each other in a bonding hug, they felt a pair of arms on their waist, looking down to see sung-min smiling, rubbing his face in-between the father and daughter. both chuckled and continued to hug, the family hadn't been whole for a handful of years, but now they were. the mother, long gone, had rifted the home but now that they've grown past their grieving stages, accepting she isn't coming back, they learned to be a family once more.
"ok now i'm serious, both of you rats go to bed." [y/n] faked an appalled reaction, "papa!! i thought we were your baby bunnies~!" "sweetheart, child rabbits are called kittens or kits idiot, now both, bed, you both are rats that are sometimes kits." he smirked at his backhand compliment, he saw his daughter holding back a bashed smile, "sheesh fine." looking down, the father signed to the boy that he needed to go to bed for real. pouting, both of his rat bunnies went to their bedroom. he truly loved and wanted the best for his family.
