enjoying the day, the now four (gauel joined) were now in the cafeteria, chatting as the sun set blaze on the windy day.
the group were talking about god knows what as [y/n] began a counter argument for what hobin had said, "no no no no no, you got it all wrong, see that if you were the red ranger, you get the most power ups seeing as you're the leader." hobin now stuffed his face with the rice he mixed in with kimchi. "nu [yw/fn], bwue ges to bey uvapuwerd!" (no [y/n], blue gets to be overpowered!) gauel then came with her mouth stuffed with frog gummies, "buth ure wong, bwak is!" (both are wrong, black is!)
even though [y/n] had a disgusted look on her face by how her friends ate and talked, her stubbornness wouldn't allow her to lose the argument, "black isn't even a ranger in most shows gauel! and besides, blue is mostly always non-existed!" jiksae, who was eating with some etiquette, now began his side of the argument, "no, you're all wrong. the special ranger gets the most power ups." [y/n] nodding along, "but their special ups go to the red ranger in the finale, making them the strongest."
"why are you talking about power rangers~?" all of the teens looked over to see a blonde girl posing cutesy, "instead talk about our new collab~!!"
"new collab, hobin what?" jiksae asked, he looked confused as the rest of them. "well you see, she made an offer i can't deny!" sighing, [y/n] pushed her hair back, and got up. "well i have to get going, rumi, you look cute with that lipshade!" and with that, she left.
rumi was left with a flustered blush and the rest waved goodbye. [y/n] had to go to meet tae-hoon outside near the front gate as tae-hoon messaged her that today would be a good day to start learning korean sign.
waiting for him, the wind started getting blowy, her hair going all over the place and some getting stuck on her face. she shivered until a black wind breaker was draped over her shoulders. knowing it was tae-hoon's, she turned to him to see a smirk.
"if the wind blew any harder, you'd fly~." laughing, [y/n] put her arms through the sleeves and smelt tae-hoon's cologne. secretly snuggling closer to it, the two teens began walking closer to the library.
"so i thought about where we can study and i thought of the library. it's quiet and perfect place to learn and not get distracted." nodding, he put his hands in his jeans. he would've kept his jacket on him but seeing [y/n] shiver, he put it on you without thought.
"thanks for the jacket by the way, it's getting cold recently." "yeah so that means layer up, i won't always have a jacket for you to use." "aha does that mean when i'm not layered you'll give me your jacket?" a ghost smile placed on his lips as he shoved you forward, making sure it was a light nudge. "don't think that, it makes it seem as if i care." "but you do, you just admitted it~!" "go away." "nah-uh if i leave who's gonna teach you!" "i can learn from the internet." "oh yeah, forgot about that."
as the two chatted, [y/n] felt bad for taking his jacket in such cold weather. "you can take it back you know. i don't mind since it's cold." "the cold doesn't bother me, right now you are." "OI I'M JUST CARING ABOUT YOU );(!!" "if you feel so bad, let me wear your coat and you wear my jacket, ok?"
removing his jacket quickly, she also removed her coat and placed it on him, then putting his wind breaker on herself. applauding herself for how fast she was, tae-hoon bonked her. "don't get cocky [y/n]~!" "AIEEEESSHH JUST LET ME HAVE MY VICTORYYYY!!" laughing at her frustrated expression, tae-hoon sniffed your coat, smelling your simple yet explosive fragrance, "do you wear perfume?" "oh no, i get headaches from those." "i see, you smell good." "same to you, i could just sleep with your jacket on, it smells sooo good~~!!" "alright creep, i didn't need to know that."
in his head, tae-hoon couldn't help but smile widely, your compliments and weird comments made him feel a sort of warm he didn't understand. how homey you felt made him wish to just hug or cuddle forever. he couldn't help but laugh at your grinning face. "i don't care, it's such a good smell, i gotta steal it from you." "just keep my jacket then." looking shocked, she denied it, "AH NEVER IT'S YOURS!" sighing, he put his hands in the coat pockets. "you said you wanted it and well now i'm giving it on to you. besides, i get to keep your coat in return." he said with a cheeky smile.
tae-hoon had never been the type to give his stuff to anyone, either friends, strangers, family, anyone, so it confused him how fast and easy it was to give his jacket away to [y/n]. he was the type to take stuff from others for fun, now he had no need for torturing others, he could just tease or hang out with you. if he had to chose, he would choose you over his 'bullying' ways. how could a girl make him want to be better? he wanted to know.
"you're a weird man, weirder than me." you said while giving a closed eyed laugh.
"well since we got here fast, let's get studyin'~!" entering the library, you looked around to see it was mostly empty with a few students here and there. you spotted an empty table next to the window so you grabbed the red head's wrist and walked to it. "sit there and we can begin." you whispered while pointing to the chair in front of you.
"so you ready to teach me suhwa?" tae-hoon asked with a smirk, you nodded enthusiast-ly, "always my good friend~!" beginning the lesson, you taught him the alphabet of sign. he watched intently, his gaze never leaving you, like a lover never letting go of his loves hand.
"so this is wo, oh, m, p-b, eu." he nodded and did the gestures himself, you smiling at how fast he'd learned it. "you're good tae-hoon!" he nodded back, "thanks."
tae-hoon had gotten up to get some ksl books while you stared at the now empty seat. as much as he was fun to be around, you both practically had nothing to bond/talk about. most of the time the chats you had with him were silence filling, maybe trying to have deeper talks could further your friendship.
but what to talk about? you would talk about parents but you didn't know him well enough so maybe it could be a line you would be crossing. crossing of that idea, what about childhood- no that could be crossing the line too-; not noticing your anxiety tick building up, you started to stab and break of skin from the fingers (not cuticles), slight blood could be seen seeping from the wounds. you squished the blood out while still in a daze. (so basically she's doing this naturally, so she doesn't realize she's hurting herself.)
-would talking about taekwondo work? he did say he teaches at a dojo, he was a professional too. seeing the empty chair now not being empty, you felt a sizzle from your hands, looking to see your bloody hands. grumbling about how you didn't notice, you saw tae-hoon reading the books he found.
should you try and converse with him or leave him be. leaving him be would be the best solution, you didn't want to disrupt his reading. "i should get going, you did randomly ask me to teach you today so i didn't get a chance to tell my pops. i'll see ya next week at school."
his eyes never left the book as he nodded with a finger wave. sighing inwardly, you put the folded jacket the red head gave you on the desk, grabbing your backpack and leaving without a word.
you let him keep the coat since he liked it much. "eeeiii that man is so bland when he's talking to me ;(." pouting until you looked up to realize it was night time.
shocked at how fast it become dark, you sighed and watched at the white cloud left your lips. tch'ing, you kicked a stone and hugged yourself-; it was cold out.
walking closer to home, you heard grunts and turned to see a gigantic dude plumber some kid. looking closer you realized that the kid was someone you knew, it was hobin!
"ho-? ... HOBIN!!?"
