"Ab invito" - Latin phraseSOMBER
---
When William woke up the next day, he woke up with a warm, happy feeling in his chest. It was a strange feeling; after all, it was something he wasn't used to. Had he merely dreamed the events of last night, or was it all real? Had it really even happened?
Flashes of the night's memories came to mind: Lucien, bare skin, and soft lips. He knew they'd cut it short, hadn't really done anything besides kiss, but William couldn't be more ecstatic. It still didn't feel real.
Sliding off his bed, William got ready for the day. Luckily, they didn't have class, so he was excited for the day's possibilities. His room was still dark, as winter approached the mornings grew noticeably colder, gloomier. He dressed rather quickly.
Outside his room, the hallways were vacant as most students were probably still sleeping in. It was the weekend after all. His steps echoed as he traversed the many corridors, heading in no true direction. William passed a few friendly faces along the way as well, though none of them were the people he was searching for. He wanted to talk to Lucien.
"William!"
He stopped in the middle of the corridor, swinging his head around to face the familiar voice.
"How was last night?" Ashton inquired, a knowing smile on his face as he jogged to catch up to him. "Anything happen after we all left?"
"I don't know what would make you think that," William said, glancing over with a cheeky smile.
"Bullshit." Ashton pushed his shoulder. "You're full of shit and you know it."
He raised his hands in surrender. "Well, it's not really any of your business, but I'm sure you can assume." William paused. "It was just a kiss, Ashton. Don't go spreading rumors."
"As if I would ever do such a thing." He laughed. "No, but seriously. I won't," he said, placing his hand over his heart. "You have my word."
"Good."
"So, what're your plans for today? Elijah was thinking about a game of football later today."
William sighed. "Well," he said, "I'm currently looking for a certain someone, but maybe later, yeah?"
"Yeah, sounds good. Ask Henry if you see him. He's kinda pissed at me right now."
"Do I even want to know?"
Ashton grimaced. "Probably not. Anyways, I'll catch you later, yeah? I've got some shit to do in the meanwhile."
"See you, Ash."
"Bye, Will. Good luck with your search."
William didn't bother replying, Ashton already long gone in the opposite direction. Instead, he wandered the halls aimlessly, waiting for the familiar blond haired boy to
show up. For breakfast, he didn't show, which was strange. Lucien normally always did.William dismissed it. Maybe he was just incredibly tired and had slept through. Yeah, that seemed likely.
In the mean time, he spent the morning with Elijah, playing a game of chess and immediately losing. Continuously. Over and over and over again.
