Jason gripped his sword, as William heard a stick crack.

Julia held a wood block in one hand, a sword in the other. Jason didn't want to be selfish and ask Julia for her sword, so he didn't raise the subject when his sword durability was low.

A hoard of skeletons ran from the trees, jumping over logs and hiding behind trees. These skeletons had a strange feeling about them that bothered Jason.

Determined to keep his sword, he grabbed a long stick from the ground and started slamming it into the sides of skeleton skulls.

Some fell to the ground stunned, and others were strong enough to shake it off and keep going.

"William! Over there!" Julia pointed at an opening in the hoard.

Jason, suddenly distracted by the call from Julia, failed to jump out of the way of an arrow.

It landed in his shoulder, and white smoke slowly sizzled from it.

"Ow..." he mumbled, switching hands. He slammed his stick into another skeleton before actually feeling the pain.

"There's too many! We have to run for it!" William shouted.

"Why didn't we do that in the first place?!" Julia yelled, turning another skeleton into smoke.

"Stop arguing! We have to go now!" Jason screamed over both of their voices.

The three ran out of the forest, towards their destination.

Jason woke up, looking up at a wood plank ceiling. Wincing as he sat up, he remembered the battle. Jason was too afraid to look at what state his arm was in, but he took a quick glance anyways.

He let out a soft sigh of relief when he realized it was bandaged and the arrow was gone. Jason looked across the room, studying his surroundings.

The walls were cobble and wood planks, with glass panes. nothing too special. Chests lined the walls, and bookshelves were floating below the ceiling. Now that's cool.

Looking out the windows, it was still dark.

He hadn't been sleeping for long, then.

Unless if he's slept for a day or so.

Jason looked for his sword, and started to panic.

Where was is only form of defense? He then let out another sigh of relief when he saw it was propped on the wall beside him.

He waited until the door creaked open, and dawn broke. William and Julia walked in, with a man in a grey cloak. He had emerald green eyes, brown hair, and tannish skin.

"You're awake!" Julia exclaimed running towards Jason and jumping onto the bed, giving him a hug.

Jason grinned slightly, hugging her with his un-injured arm.

"How's it going?" He asked, looking at William as he walked over.

"You've been sleeping for a few hours, and Dr. John here,-" William pointed at the man. "Healed up your arm a bit. He says the town Hunters are bound to come back in an hour or so with some healing potions."

"They hunt down witch huts in a swamp nearby." Julia dreamily said, probably thinking about some 'heroic' Hunter she had met while Jason was asleep. It might be possible, she has a love for literally everything.

"Anyways..." William said, slowly pushing Julia away. "You could rest if you want, or do you want to walk around? You were a bit stiff when you tried dragging Julia and I to the village."
