AURORA IS IN A FIELD. No, her mind immediately corrects. The Dawn. Blonde and straight hair are flying past her face.

She's young, she realizes. It's her first regeneration. Her skin is whiter, her eyes a bit more almond shaped. She doesn't have freckles, or dimples. She is a whole other person.

She's contemplating the globes of the city, feeling the soft breeze on her skin. She can practically taste the battle that's about to come.

"I know how to end the war, you know?" The voice is cocky, taunting. Almost bribing her.

He knows her thirst for peace, to end the war before it even starts. She abruptly turns to the young Time Lord beside her. "You do?" His face is blurred, like in a dream, but she knows him.

"Yes," her brother assures. "I have a way to reconcile the two sides."

She scoffs. "Sure you do. How do you plan on doing that? Reasoning with the Daleks? What a swell idea."

"I wouldn't be able to do anything, there's not a single good bone in my body." She stares at him, not believing that for a second. "I could tell you, if you want."

Even though she's a bit reluctant, the Dawn nods. He whispers it in her ear. But she can't remember it. Not even a little bit. Forgotten, like his face, and his name.

She gapes at him. "That would be high treason."

He smirks, devilish. "It would end everything."

THE MEMORY STOPS

THE MEMORY STOPS. Aurora's vision is foggy, as she opens her eyes. She barely sees anything, and there's a beeping sound. Her gaze slowly focuses, and her numb face manages to smile. The blurry face in front of hers heaves out a sigh of relief. She's been out of it for a bit longer than they expected.

"Hey," she pronounces with a bit of difficulty. She feels raindrops on her cheeks, and realizes it's his hair. "You're dripping on me."

The Doctor chuckles, and she feels his hand brushing her hair. "Sorry." He sighs again. "Thought we lost you there for a bit. The Siren didn't take us to the same place she took you."

Aurora frowns, and stares around at the room. "Why?" It looks like a sick bay, and she was resting on one of the beds. Going by the tube hanging to his side, she was hooked to the machines too.

He frowns, the question suddenly raising concern in him. Why did she end up here? Why was it so hard for her to wake up? "No idea."

"Doctor she's coming!" It's Amy's voice.

The Doctor carefully puts an arm under her knees, and another around her back to carry her.

He hurries her behind a bank of monitors. He quickly puts his jacket around her shoulder, and she realizes that she was in nothing but a white tank top.
