Ugh... My head is pounding right now. I slowly sit up, rubbing my forehead as if that would help with the damn hangover. I begin to roll myself out of bed, getting up and trying my best not to fall. Going out of my bedroom, I walk into the kitchen and see Emily cooking some scrambled eggs over the stove. Her hair is all curly and neat, her clothes aren't wrinkly and smelling like booze and her face is free of dark circles or overall symptoms that usually happen in the morning after a regular person drinks the amount of alcohol we did. I guess she's not a regular person.
-Mornin' sunshine. -She says cheerfully as she sees me standing by the door.
-You have got to be kidding me. -I sigh and sit by the counter.
-What? -She grins and serves a portion of the scrambled eggs on a small plate in front of me.
-Are you even human? How are you not literally falling apart like I am?
-I have had more drinks in one night than you have in a lifetime. I'm just used to it. -She sinks a fork into the plate and pushes it closer to me. -Eat up.
-I love you. -I mumble before eating the eggs that taste surprisingly amazing.
-Want some water? -She asks opening the fridge.
-I'm good...
-There you go. -She interrupts me with a smile, slamming a bottle of cold water on the counter.
-Em...
-You need to stay hydrated if you wanna get over that pussy-destroying hangover. -Emily smiles.
-That what? -I laugh.
-Just drink, bitch. -She chuckles and I take a sip.
-Why would I want to recover so fast anyway? I got the whole day to myself.
-Check your phone. -She giggles.
-Oh damn. -I sigh, seeing all the notifications from Chris. -I got the part yesterday! Literally, yesterday! What are we even gonna do today?
-I don't know, ask your agent. -Em teases and I give her a little push on the shoulder jokingly.
-I am not in the right headspace to deal with that right now. -I rest my head on the counter.
-You'll see Sarah... -She sings in a whisper, cheering me up.
I look at her and she looks right back at me.
-Fuck you. -I say just before chugging the bottle of water as she laughs.
We keep on eating breakfast until I realize I have to get ready to go out. I have no idea why, though. I just know we're not going to start filming already. I shower the alcohol and sleep deprivation off and change into something a little less comfortable: a pair of black high waist jeans and a red blouse with two buttons undone on top. I dry my hair and style it, put some mascara on and stare into the mirror.
-You look hot. -I see Emily's reflection, standing behind me.
-I really needed that. -I give her a soft smile and she laughs.
-And by the way... -Her voice gets interrupted by the doorbell. -That.
-Don't tell me it's... -I walk furiously past her.
