Bell's POV

Hannah is a fun person to hang out with, she loved dancing so we danced all night long and had lots of drinks, I couldn't even remember when last I was this drunk, the difference with this kind of party compared to the parties I attended at home was that no one was trying to flirt with you, this was just fun and I enjoyed it.

Hannah's mom answers a call and gives the phone to Hannah, she moves away and talks to the person on the other end, after a while she comes back and hands the phone back to her mom. "Let's continue this party." She screams again and we cheer her on. Her parents had left to attend a Christmas event and we were partying and drinking nonstop, by 00h00 we decided to go to some club in town. When we arrived at the club, they were playing awesome old-school hip-hop, the bar was super packed when we arrived, but it wasn't too hard to grab a drink at the bar especially when Hannah knew the barman and once we had our drinks we hit the dance floor, I don't exactly recall the type of music that was playing, but I do remember singing along and dancing to songs that I'm pretty sure I liked, we had a great time. At some point, I was dancing with random strangers. After some time, people started leaving and the bar and club get empty.

Hannah decides that we have to go to some dockyard, it's freezing cold but for some reason, the alcohol made me very warm and brave. At the dockyard, besides the light lighting the walkway, it was quiet, no persons in the site, so we buy some more wine and head home, we decided to rather finish drinking at home, so that way those with driving cars could also enjoy themselves. It was about 02h00 in the morning and Hannah's parents were not back yet, so we put on some music, but not too loud, and started dancing again. I was having so much fun, we were laughing and at one point started telling ghost stories, we were so drunk that we laughed at the silliest things. No one got scared, the scarier the story got the more we laughed, and making scary faces was the worst, our stomachs were hurting the way we laughed.

We drink the last bottle of wine we had and slowly people started cutting out and finding any place they could sleep, I looked around and the house looked like a mess, and I couldn't even control my balance and Sarah was dragging me and Jena up the stairs following Hannah to her room. Although my vision was a bit blurred from being drunk, I noticed how big Hannah's room was, there was a sofa and a huge bed, a door leading to a bathroom, and massive windows. I stumble towards the windows and look out, it's snowing and dark outside, but I can still see a glass building in the yard, this was a perfect picture, I look up at the night sky and start feeling a bit overwhelmed. "I wish you could see this dad," I whisper.

As I stumble back, I see Jena out cold on a pop out mattress on the floor, Sarah and Hannah are also lights out on the bed. I slip in under the covers next to Jena, I try to fall asleep but I can't. I didn't know if it was the amount of alcohol I had consumed but I start crying, the feeling of missing my dad, my family, and my friends become overwhelming. I think of Ben and I wonder what he is doing with his life, I pull out my phone and go through the pictures we had taken together, I feel for the chain around my neck that he gave me and hold onto it tightly. Why isn't Ben trying to contact me, why isn't he fighting for me, why did he just give up like that, did our time together mean nothing to him, was I just a play toy? I ask myself and sniff softly, I fall asleep holding myself. Sometime during the night, I heard someone entering the room, the light of the ajar door shone on me and I didn't know what state I looked like, so I pull the covers over my face. The person is whispering and I think trying to wake up Hannah, but it sounded like they got no response from her, when the person leaves, I take the covers off my face and try to fall asleep again, the early morning light awakens me, making a bit of difference in the darkroom, I assume that it could be about 07h00 in the morning, I have a massive headache and can't fall asleep.

I slowly and softly get up and make my way to the bedroom door, once I'm in the passage, I notice how quiet the house is and move down the stairs. People are passed out everywhere on the sofas and the floor, there are empty chips packet, sweets, and wine bottles lying everywhere. My eyes are still a bit blurry and I'm feeling very nauseous, I step over someone and make my way to the kitchen. It's the first time that I enter the kitchen, it's so big, there's a counter in the middle with stools, a doubled door silver fridge, and everything matches perfectly (See picture above). I wonder where they keep their painkillers and start searching the cabinets, there's a small old photo in the glass cabinet, I take it out and look at it. It looks like Hannah's dad holding a little boy's hand, something about the little boy looks familiar. I put the photo back and search further, I find a bowl with some capsules and tablet boxes, but cannot make out what it said, it's in German.

I decide on a box that shows a person with a throbbing head and at least makes out the word aspirin on the box, I pour myself some water and swallow the aspirin. With the remaining water in the glass, I walk and sip some water and look through the window, there's snow everywhere, I can see the plants through the greenhouse windows, (See picture above) and if I had shoes on I would go outside. I notice a movement in the snow, and see two long ears sticking out, it was a little rabbit, he or she is almost as white as the snow, and it had big red eyes. It was the first time I had seen a rabbit-like this, the ones back home I saw in the wild was always black or grey. Something startles the little thing and it hops away, I watch it climb under the fence and hop across the road into the snow-covered forest.

My headache seemed to have calmed down and I finished the remaining water, but am still thirsty, must be the hangover I tell myself. I crave for something cold and peek into the fridge, I see a carton with a picture of a squeezed orange on and smell it, it was orange juice, and I pour myself some. While drinking, I hear a noise coming from upstairs, someone must be awake, and I hoped that it was not one of Hannah's parents, I don't know them and wouldn't want them to see me in a hangover state and I kind of felt guilty for the state their house was in, so I quickly finish drinking the cold orange juice that still gives me a brain freeze, I go over to the sink and rinse my glass, I need to get back upstairs before someone sees me, I tell myself.
