15th of February 2021, Cairo, Egypt - Magical Excavation Campsite

Noah Carter was pacing back and forth, while writing down some quick things about the artefacts he had found during his excavation. He had been in Egypt for a couple of days already and kept himself occupied with investigating some things that had been found. He furrowed his brow as he quickly swept some of the sweat from his forehead and a deep sigh escaped his mouth. It was a very sunny day at the campsite where he stayed and the heat could sometimes be a little unbearable, but Noah had been to Egypt before, so it wasn't exactly anything new for him. And even with this heat, he was still dressed quite the part. He was wearing a white blouse with short sleeves, a bow tie and some light brown dress pants with his regular brown boots underneath. Of course his jewellery couldn't be missed either. The rings and necklaces he was wearing were glistening in the sunlight and the ringing sound could clearly be heard with each step he took.

"And.. I think that's.. About it!" he muttered, while writing down some final translations, symbols and inscriptions.

He closed his red notebook, before looking at the time on his pocket watch. It was time to take a break for now. He had been busy with investigating the artefact for almost three hours straight now and he knew that he needed to catch some rest, before continuing on his research. He turned to one of the translators that came along on the journey and quickly raised his hand, while greeting him in his native language.

"Marhaba, Assem! I will be inside my tent to rest up for a little while. If I am needed, call for me, alright?" the investigator stated, before receiving a quick nod from the translator.

"Have a good rest, Mister Carter." he said with a thick Arabic accent and a friendly smile on his face, before being on his way again.

Noah quickly made his way into the tent and placed his notebook on the little wooden table that was standing in the middle. He took off his jacket that protected him from the heat and put it over the chair, before throwing his hat onto the bed and ruffling his hair a little bit. He pulled out a brown journal from under his pillow, before opening it. He wanted to write down what he had found this day, but before he could get started on it he heard some commotion coming from outside. People were shouting in Arabic, but the only thing he could properly understand was someone shouting his last name 'Carter'. He quickly realised that resting would have to wait for a little bit and he quickly put his hat back on, before going outside. Three men, including Assem the translator, were bickering in the middle of the campsite. The other two looked like quite the poor people. Dusty and torn clothes, blackened teeth, dirt on their hands and feet, hair all messy. Not exactly the typical visitors at an excavation campsite. Noah fixed his yellow tie a little bit, before clearing his throat.
