The night we lost our baby was the most powerless I've ever felt in my entire 25 years of existence. Tessa's strength will never cease to amaze me...the very same night is when Landon's little girl Addy was born. Tessa didn't want to make things about her so she decided to not tell Landon about what horrible thing had happen just hours before we met his beautiful daughter.
"She's beautiful, Landon" Tessa manages to say while letting out a small squeak.
"Thank you, Tessa I'm glad you think so, she is your god daughter after all!"
Tessa sheds a tear down her rosy red cheeks
I smile at her, wanting to wipe the tear off her beautiful cheeks.
After a while, we tell Landon and Sofia congratulations and head home, and home never felt so empty.
When we get home Tessa lays down next to me on our bed, she pokes my cheek and pulls my chin up so I'm looking directly at her. "Har-din..?" I gaze into her blue grey eyes "Yes Tess?"
"I'm sorry I couldn't give you a baby.."
I pull her into my lap, as I tuck her hair behind her ears while maintaining eye contact.
"Don't you ever apologize for that, this isn't your fault. I love you too damn much to allow you to say such horrible things about yourself. We will have a family one day, I promise you that."
"I..I don't know Hardin..the doctor did say having children was next to impossible for me, remember?"
"Well, baby we will defeat the odds, I have faith in us and we will have damn fun trying" Giving her a half smile .
"I love you so much Hardin."
"I love you too Tess."
