"I heard that we're going to have a new manager this year, is it true?"

"Yeah, the coach told me about this to inform you about it."

The third years; Oikawa, Iwaizumi, Hanamaki and Matsukawa are walking down the hall, making their way to the gym after school ends. The third years have heard the news where they are going to have a new manager which much to Oikawa's delight, probably thinking that the new manager is a cute first year girl. As soon as they reached the gym, they saw their coach talking to black haired male with a nervous look on his face. "Huh? Who's that?" Hanamaki asks in curiosity as they watch the black haired male nod and rush out from the gym with an ice box cooler in his hand.

"I wonder what was that all about?"

"Dunno."

Once everyone had changed their uniforms and finished their warm up, their coach called out for them to regroup where they saw the black haired male from earlier who was standing beside their coach. "Hey coach, who's that?" Iwaizumi asks the fidget male and the coach pat the male's hair. "Well boys, say hello to your new manager." The coach said, mentioning the male to introduce himself. "M-My name is Shimizu Reiji. It's nice to meet you all." The male name Reiji introduced, bowed to the volleyball's members and everyone except for a certain setter greeting to Reiji, "Please take care of us!"

Iwaizumi notices this, quickly asks. "Oi, the hell is wrong with you?"

Oikawa kept staring at Reiji who noticed this and started to squirm under his gaze before Oikawa let out a sigh. "I thought our new manager was a girl. What a shame." Oikawa said, making Reiji's feel his eyes twitch and glance at Iwaizumi.

"U-Umm...Are you a captain of this club?" Reiji asked and Iwaizumi blinked before shaking his head.

"Nope. This idiot is." Iwaizumi said, pointing toward Oikawa who gave Reiji a proud look to make the said male deadpanned.

"Oh, I thought you're the captain. What a shame." Reiji sighed, using the word against Oikawa to make the setter twitch his eyes. "Hey, you should respect your senior, Shimizu-kun." Oikawa said, giving Reiji his 'charming smile', hoping to change his impression but it became worse.

"Well, if you want me to respect you, you should respect me first. And about your first impression? I totally don't like you." Reiji said with deadpanned looks and this caused everyone around Oikawa letting out snickered while the third years burst out laughing as Oikawa made a face.

The coaches who also watch this, chuckle in amusing before he orders the others to start the practice.

 "Alright boys, we're going to have a practice match with Karasuno High School next Thursday and I want all of you to prepare, do you understand?"

"Yes, sir!"

Reiji quickly picks up the bottle and puts it back into the ice cooler box as everyone cleans up the gym while a certain setter makes his way to the manager. Before Oikawa opened his mouth, Reiji immediately rejected his offer.

"No."

"But I didn't say anything!"

"If you ask me for another ridiculous date, then no. If you ask me if I want to go home together then also no. If you want to ask me if you did another great job, technically yes but for me, don't be showing off bastard, I hate it."

The first years and second years sweat dropped but the third years burst out laughing at the harsh rejection from their manager while Oikawa cried at the rejection from their precious manager. Oikawa glanced toward the vice-captain, to ask for advice but before even the captain asked the advice, Iwaizumi immediately answered, "Your fault, trashykawa for giving that kind of first impression. I'm not going to help you." Iwaizumi said, continuing mopping the floor as he ignored the pout he received from the childish captain.
