Kay'la ran as fast as she could, escaping from the Reptilian-Draconian starship that landed near her some seconds ago.
Hiding behind a wall from a semi destroyed building, she started breathing deeply, in and out, trying to calm herself down. Still, her intuition told her there was someone that wasn't vibrating in a high frequency, walking towards her.

Without hesitation, she took her phaser from her belt she always wore as part of her galactic uniform, and shot at her adversary. The grey alien left a metallic groan escape his mouth before the electric shock made his body collapse on the ground, unmoving for a short period of time. "I'm so sorry" she whispered, and left the place running away again. The greys were a group memory complex consciousness with a very little ability to think on their own as independent individuals. Leaving one of their peers like that would only make the rest of the clones come for him.

Greedy for universal power and control, the Draco-Reptiloids declared war upon the galaxies. Since this moment the Orion-Draconian Empire and the members of the Light has been fighting against each other for eons.
The Galactic Federation of Light (GFoL) has been discussing and striving towards more peaceful options and agreements, but when the Empire started attacking different planets and killing civilians, it was decided that there was nothing else to do but to defend themselves and their people.

Kay'la was so fed up with this. Seeing death and suffering was the worst she could both see and feel within the deepest of her core. Years working in the Arcturian Council helped her learn more not only about the current situation, but about the relations that different extraterrestrial races held with each other, and the intervals journeys she had on different starships were very important for her. She was grateful for the amazing connections she made, now friends supporting her everywhere she went, and now fighting by her side.

Nevertheless, the feeling of knowing she could help, even the tiniest bit, was stronger. So she joined the special units as soon as she could, part of the GFoL protection forces. And there she was, running building to building, house to house through all the shooting noises on the distance, making sure all civilians were evacuated and safe, and of course, eliminating any enemies she encountered. Well that is, stuning any Reptilians' greys slaves she encountered, because it was way easier for her emotions to leave them on the ground, rather than just completely disintegrating them.

The girl used a hand-held phaser as her main weapon of choice to protect herself. It is a particle-beam weapon, so the energy to fire the phaser is created by superconducting crystals inside the chambers of the weapon. Phaser beams can be adjusted in both width and output. A typical hand phaser has different power settings so that it can merely stun living organisms, or completely disintegrate them. The phaser subatomic particle beams can be adjusted to strike multiple targets at once or evenly destroy large amounts of material.

Phasers of this kind can be used as welding torches, cutting tools, or can create heat sources by firing at a large solid object (eg. a rock). The phasers can be set to overload, whereby they build up a force-chamber explosion by continuously generating energy without releasing it, the resulting blast being capable of destroying most natural objects within a 50 - meter radious.

Even though Kay'la learnt the multiple uses and options of the weapon by heart, she usually chose to use it as minimally as possible so the hostile encounters were left motionless on the ground with no one noticing if they were alive or dead for a while, and in most cases for self defense, never attack.

She was so close to report her location to the Commander of her Pleiadian group through her hologram white bracelet, when she felt a shadow approach behind her back.

"Well, well, well... What do we have here, huh?"
