Chiara was walking home from university. She raised her head to look at the grey, dark night sky. Bored, she continued to look at her phone, immersed in a game she downloaded recently.
Suddenly she felt the ground below her feet tremble. She couldn't even look at people around her because the second after she was on the ground, holding on to anything she could to not fall off balance.
It happened. The sky now turned to more violet and purple tones. People were running away, scared to death about what was currently happening. And nobody knew what the hell was going on.
After putting her phone in her pants pocket, the young girl raised her head for the second time to see the sky. Her face froze. Something that looked like a giant galaxy was approaching Earth at a high speed.
"What the--"
Her brain returned to normal functioning. She quickly managed to stand up, and ran as fast as her legs allowed her to her home, jumping through the now, destroyed streets and buildings. Through the chaos.
She had to check. She had to see if everything was okay.
