Ch 18 - First Fight

Grandma Kara clears her throat blushing at beam's bluntness and offers some tea to beam and his friends.

Beam grins at kara and sits beside her staring at her "Thank you grandma! But I don't drink tea or coffee. Sorry! May I call you grandma?"

Grandma kara just smiled at beam pinching his cheeks "Yes you can beam"

Beam smiles "you exactly smile like Hercules" Grandma Kara furrows her eyebrows at the mention of now who is Hercules?

Grandma "but we haven't met before?"

Beam "huh! When you glared at me at the press meet— Hercules exactly glares at me like you! You are the female version of my Hercules"

Grandma thinks watching bubbly beam my Hercules? So beam doesn't know who his Hercules is? Hmm interesting. What will I do with my idiot grandson?

Beam continuous with his chatter "actually I have seen your photo in Hercules's wallet" whereas kit and wayo just watches the interaction between beam and Mrs. Kara while sipping the milk shake.

Grandma "wallet?"

Beam "huh! I saw it yesterday when we were having our lunch date"

Grandma "lunch d-date?" my grandson is superfast in courting this boy but everything in wrong order! Grandma kara now noticed the ring in beam's finger.

Grandma kara's gaze becomes soft "but beam, you shouldn't have done that even though your intentions were right. What if you got hurt?

Beam "Sorry grandma! I was worried about the patient in the ambulance—"

Grandma pats beam's head "I can understand, but be careful next time. Okay?"

Beam smiles widely "Ok Grandma" Mrs.Kara wondered how Forth will handle business and beam both?

Grandma "did police trouble you or something?"

Beam dramatically explains "no grandma! Hercules was there even before they throw me into the cell and he bailed me out.

Grandma smiled inwardly hmm he doesn't have time for anything but he made time for this boy! It's good he is making time for himself apart from business. There must be something interesting about beam that forth took interest in someone again after sam.

After talking with grandma and promising her to visit again. It was almost evening, when beam, kit and wayo takes their leave. Kit drops off wayo and beam at their home ad drives away.

Beam walks in like nothing happened but beam's mom Davika "Stop right there beam! Since morning, everybody from our relatives to media has called us asking about your actions at the rally" Beam stood rooted at place looking all guilty.

Davika "You are going overboard now, I support you in everything it doesn't mean that you can behave carelessly like this. Have you thought about your papa's and brother's reputation?"

Beam 'But mama! It wasn't my fault and even grandma kara said herself but I know I would have handled the situation sensibly

Davika is confused who is beam referring to grandma kara now since both maternal and fraternal grandparents are already passed away "Who is that?"

Beam "NSWC's chairman and hercules's grandma! You have already spoken with him last week"

Davika "the one with whom I spoke over the phone?"

Beam nodes "hmm" hugging his mama & kissing her on the cheeks.

Davika flicks on beam's forehead "why did you have to do all that?"
