Ch 39 - Away From You

Forth called Beam next day around noon as he was busy with continues meetings and calls since last night due to his new project with the government.

"What are you doing love?" forth asked beam.

Beam's mood was off since last night after talking with his P'Kong and what he said to him "I am fine" said in low voice. Forth can sense something is off with the tone of beam.

"Let's meet for coffee?" forth asked very carefully not willing to irk beam.

"Okay" Beam agreed half-heartedly. Beam was confused & feeling really low with what P'Kong said

, he don't want to disappoint his P'Kong nor does he want to hurt forth.

Forth "I will pick you up in 30mins". They went to the nearby café which is close to his university. Beam was quite all this time totally unlike him. Forth placed the order, coffee for himself and a milkshake for beam observing his mood. Forth asked him about his classes, friends and some other things but his mood remained same. He answered in simple yes or no. After some time silence forth cleared their bill. Beam stood up to leave without saying anything but forth pulled him back in his arms hugging closely.

Forth "What's wrong beam?"

Beam wondered how I will tell you what my P'Kong asked me. I don't want to hurt "Nothing, I am fine. Just headache"

Forth "Then why I am feeling like it's not just the headache?"

Beam smiled weakly & managed to lie "I am tired and sleepy" forth was still not convinced with his reason but he let it slide since he doesn't want to force beam to speak.

After dropping off beam, forth went back home. He was still worried about beam's behaviour and he couldn't bare beam's silence. To distract himself he switched on the TV & kept changing the channels but beam's disturbed and sad face bothered him a lot. He failed to understand what was bothering beam? He never expected to get so bothered with his silence. He didn't realize what channel he was watching until win's voice put an end to the trail of thoughts.

Win sits on the couch beside forth "P'Forth you have changed so much"

Forth "No I am not"

Win "Ever since you met beam, you have changed a lot and it's a good change. I like the present version of you"

Forth gave a cold stare to win "you are seeing things. I am same as before"

Win points at forth and then at TV "look at you, you are watching romantic movies". Forth then noticed what was on playing, it was a movie called The Vow. Forth switched off the TV & threw the remote away in frustration. Win saw his temper & left him alone silently walking out of the room.

Next day at 5.30 am while working out Beam called him

Forth answered his call immediately "Umm"

Beam in low voice "good morning"

Forth "umm"

Beam was silent for few seconds "bye" his voice sounded like he cried. Forth knew there was something bothering him. He hated the silence and him being so indifferent with him but yet he didn't say or ask anything "umm"

Around 7.30am Forth called beam.

Forth "Wake up sleepy head"

Beam in low voice "umm" They were on the call all the while but beam didn't talk much but hummed for every question forth asked "umm". Beam reached university along with max and extra set of bodyguards as Max drove him today. He stepped out of the car and was about to close the door. And suddenly he got pulled around by someone.
