Nate POV
Midna and I ventured deep into the forest, side by side, trying not to get too many cuts on either of us. A few times I could have sworn that I saw something out of the corner of my eye, a bright colour, or heard a song.
The crunching of the dried leaves was starting to get to me, and brought fearful thoughts, so I softly sang
"Can you tell me?
Can you tell me?
Exactly how it works?
And who is that I see?
I see inside of me?
And how am I supposed to get by
Within this broken world?I hear you laugh at me
But I don't see a thing. With in my head, I am so damaged
Hold my breath and I'll freeze..."Midna looked up at me, then all around. I raised my head up, seeing the stilled forest, green and yellow colours surrounding us, just us, and I slowly sang louder.
" I'm Breakable
Un-breakableI'm Shakeable
Un-Shakeable,I found you then I shook inside,
And in this twisted world
I can now feel myself,
Fading away falling under your spell,Don't look for me,
'Cause I am too far gone.I don't wish to hurt those whom I call my friends,
When I'm Stuck within a world someone else imaginedI won't forget
Remember who I am.I looked around, now enthralled by the enchanting forest, as I had gone very far in. The plants were tall and strangely coloured shades of pink and green, the leaves on the trees stood still, and I heard a soft singing.
I found what I had been searching for, a small, yellow flower, and put it in Midna's little slip on pouch.
I sat down, and pulled my pack off my back, pulling out my lunch, and feeding Midna hers. I sat against a strong, vivid green tree, happy in silence, until I heard thumping... Really, really loud thumping.
Hunter POV
I walked swiftly, and silently through the forest, trying to find an animal that could be eaten, but thanks to my good luck, there was only odd, bright coloured plants.
I wondered farther in, hoping that I would be able to find an exit on my way back, and I had forgotten the way I had come in.
The "ENCHANTED" forest was really creepy, I don't understand why Father sent me to this forest to get dinner.
Yet again, he could be trying to get rid of me. I tried to think happy thoughts as I continued to walk into Grenite, until I heard LOUD thumps.
That was not a bunny.
I climbed a tree swiftly, and looked around at the surrounding area. I saw something big move.
Being the person I am, I went after it. I put my knife in my pocket, un-seethed my sword, and ran.
I came to a stop when I saw what it was.
It was a BLOODY GRIFFIN.
These things were vicious, and strong. I pulled my sword into my left hand, my stronger hand, and was about to walk away when I saw a hooded figure holding some sort of animal, probably a dog that was attacked.
The griffin was facing the figure, it's claws stretched, ready to attack, when I yelled out " HEY BIRDY!!" as loud as possible.
That sure got the thing's attention. It turned to me, green eyes glazed over, and looked ready to attack.
Oops.
It ran up to me, and I easily side-stepped the attack. I jabbed it in the leg, but was unable to do any more damage before the person, a man, who had been holding the dog came up and slated the beast with ease.
"Thank you." He said simply, before running back to help the dog. I ran after him, I knew basic emergency care.
He looked at me, surprised by the fact that I was helping his dog in silence.
"Who are you?" He asked, voice soft and familiar. "I'm Hunter Hughes, or Dookie to my friends. Who are you?" He looked down, almost embarrassed "I'm Nathan."
I was shocked, and he pulled his hood down, then looked back to the dog, then he whispered "Will Midna make it?" I looked into his eyes "She will for you, but we've got to get her out of here."
So together, we ran back to the castle, my dinner plans forgotten, and the Griffin beheaded on the ground.
Hey guys, Trick here, and I would like to thank theMurderKHRP for actually just saying that this was a good book, as I wasn't sure. I've got big plans for this book, I can tell you that much.
