Leroy's POV

Whatever happened with Ashley and Mark yesterday seems to have been interesting and a great night it was for then cause they are totally fine now and back together.

I walk up to the library to get some books for my assignment and as I'm looking around the aisles I see Kenzie.
I walk towards her as she's reading some book while standing. By the stars on the cover I can tell it's about astronomy.
I hold her eyes and whisper in her ears "Kenzie, hey"
She hold my hands hands and turns back "Oh hiiii Leroy" as she laughs

"What are you doing here Leroy"

"Bestie fate I guess" I gulp then laugh after.

"Don't you think we should get to know each other more Kenzie"

"Yeah sure" she says as she grabs a chair for me and sits on the other.

The librarian gives us a naughty eye that we tell says keep quiet.

An awkward moment of silence arouses and we both gigglle.

"Well Kenzie, I'm Leroy Mcrey! My mum died and I stay with my dad apparently. Last person I dated was Bianca, we were just not meant for each other I guess. I play basketball and love poetry" he smirks with a smile lined on his face at the end

"You've given me a really brief description Mr.McRey"

"It's cause that's what people have already told you, that's what they know" he utters and looks at me straight in my eyes. I can see his green eyes turn teary.

"Okay Leroy" I say briefly cause I don't want to say anything weird

"I'm Kenzie, from Uganda. Everytime a member in our family finishes with high school, they send us abroad for college and I decided to come to Florida cause my sister Eliza is also here. I love the stars, the sky and everything above. I'm hella innocent and please don't tell anyone but I'm still virgin and have never dated" I say as I roll my eyes and mumble at the end.

"Wait what?" He says as jokingly to pretend he hasn't had a thing.

"I know you've heard everything Leroy" I laugh.

"But why haven't you ever done anything, atleast dating"

"My parents are hella strict and I attended all my highschool in a Catholic single sex school just because they wanted me to grow up well groomed.

"What if you became lesbian?" He jokes again.

"C..mon, that isn't a problem as well." I laugh and he laughs at me after.

He starts looking at me straight in my eyes and it's starting to feel weird cause I can notice all his focus is on me.
What's wrong? Do I have something in my nose? Get it out Leroy!! Stop looking.
I then look at him straight in his eyes and give him a wink.

"Anything wrong sir?"

"Absolutely nothing beautiful, you're all good" he says as a smile is lined on his face

"Anyways tomorrow there's a party at Mark's, can you make it?"

"Oh no!! I think I can't make it, me and my sister kinda agreed to something"

"What's that supposed to be"

"Books and only books, nothing else"

"Work without play...,."he says as he giggles.

I look behind and I see Eliza coming and I'm hella scared cause I don't want her to see me with Leroy.

"Please go, I'll see you next time."

He looks behind and sees Eliza too.
"Bye Sunshine." As he quickly runs away before I say a word.

Why did he call me Sunshine?
This is goddamn awkward.
