THE MIDNIGHT DUEL
FLYING LESSONS, Pansy had forgotten all about that.
"Is she also horrid at flying?" Sally asked looking at Pansy's straight face as she was staring at her broom
"Oh-no-no, Pansy's an average flyer but I don't know why she's making that face though" Daphne said
"Sooo? Why are you making that face?" Blaise asked raising an eyebrow, Pansy sighed and asnwered, "nothing, I just forgot about our flying lessons." As she was shaking her head
"Really? With Draco whinning all week long about how first years arent allowed in the team? You still forgot our flying lessons?" Daphne rose an eyebrow
"I wasnt whinning!" Draco immediately said scowling at Daphne
"Hmm, like you werent harrasing Potter and some other muggle-borns wherever you're with Crabbe and Goyle? Hm, sounds like you arent whinning" Pansy said and offered a very sweet smile
"Potter's asking for it!" Draco whined
"Sure he does" Pansy crossed her arms, Draco was about to retort something when madame Hooch had came in , full on her flying gear.
Her hawk like eyes roamed the group of first years, Pansy marveled how her amber eyes look like that. It's quite beautiful.
"Well? What are you all waiting for for?" She barked "Stand by a broomstick! Hurry up" she added
The mix of all four houses had immediately went to their station and most of the houses were far away from the Slytherins. Not that they minded though.
"Stick out your right hand over the broom and say UP!" Madame Hooch exclaimed
They did as what they told and Pansy's broom took a second before it went to the palm of her hand.
She looked around and as expexted her friends had gotten the hang of it with Sally struggling a bit but she was getting helped from Blaise.
Pansy inwardly grin at the two of them, "they look cute together" Daphne dreamily sighed
"They do but we're 11 year olds and we arent suppose to rush that kind of things" Pansy scrunched her nose looking away
"Right-" Daphne was about to say more when Pansy had tackled her to the ground as Neville's broom zoomed over them with madame Hooch calling his name whipping her wand out
"That was close!" Theo exclaimed helping the both, if Pansy had been a second too late both of them might've serve the rest of their lives in the hospital wing suffering from a very severe concussion.
"I should've known Longbottom's too stupid to even ride a broom" Draco said in distaste while Sally had just gasp watching the Gryffindor zoomed about
"COME BACK BOY" madame Hooch exclaimed as if Neville would come back with the uncontrollable broom of his
And with that Neville was rising straight up like a cork shot out of a bottle -- twelve feet -- twenty feet. Pansy saw his scared white face look down at the ground falling away, saw him gasp, slip sideways off the broom and -- WHAM -- a thud and a nasty crack and Neville lay facedown on the grass in a heap. His broomstick was still rising higher and higher, and started to drift lazily toward the forbidden forest and out of sight. Madame Hooch was bending over Neville, her face as white as his.
"Broken wrist," she mutter. "Come on, boy -- it's all right, up you get" madame Hooch said and turned to the class
"None of you is to move while I take this boy to the hospital wing! You leave those brooms where they are or you'll be out of Hogwarts before you can say 'Quidditch.' Come on, dear." Neville, his face tear-streaked, clutching his wrist, hobbled off with Madame Hooch, who had her arm around him.
