Five years have passed since Dimitri vanished after leaving House Blaiddyd. Nearly four months after Marigold's fourth birthday, Byleth was talking to Lambert in his bedroom that night when the sound of the door opening caught their attention. A person with a fur coat was standing there. He opened his eyes. Lambert couldn't believe what he was seeing. His son was right there in the doorway. Byleth started crying and ran over to Dimitri. "I'm sorry, Byleth.", he said to her. "I've missed you, Dimitri!", she tells him. They then walk back to their room, allowing Lambert to close the door and go to sleep. Once in their room, Dimitri has something to ask Byleth. "Our daughter, what did you name her?", he asks her. "Marigold Isabella Blaiddyd. I'll let you meet her in the morning.", Byleth tells Dimitri before they get into bed, pull the covers up and fall asleep. The next day, Dimitri and Byleth wake up and walk to Marigold's room. Once inside, Byleth has Dimitri wait while she wakes Marigold up so she can meet her father. Byleth walks over to Marigold's bed before reaching down and putting a hand on her side. "Hey, Marigold sweetheart. It's time to wake up now.", Byleth told her, causing her to wake up sleepily. "Mama, why are you waking me up?", Marigold asks her mother. Byleth turns and calls Dimitri over. He comes over and picks Marigold up, but she gets frightened. She looks up at him and easily discovers he has the same icy blue eyes she has, which calms her down. "Meet your father, Marigold.", Byleth tells her. "Papa!", Marigold happily says to Dimitri. After putting Marigold to bed in her room that night, Dimitri and Byleth go to sleep in their room. Byleth is abducted by Hubert while she is asleep.
