Chapter 1

I took one last look in the mirror, pumped my lipgloss, and popped my lips, and then went to my bed. Yup, today was the last day. I sighed, and called downstairs, "Mom, you ready?!"

My mom jogged up the stairs, and sighed. "I'm gonna miss you Pais," I nodded my head. Right when she was about to hug me, I handed her my suitcase. "It's for the best mom, but I'm gonna miss you too. Can you help bring my luggage to the car?"

We both took my luggage, and packed it into the car. "Pais, tell your dad to treat you well while you're there in California. Oh, and remember to call me when you get there!" I smirked and rolled my eyes, "I will mom, relax, I'll be fine."

We gave each other one last hug, and said our goodbyes. Damn, I was going to miss it here. So many good memories.

I got in the rental car, and drove myself to the airport. After I checked in the car, all I could think on the way there was, I hope I'll have a better life than I ever did here. My whole life here in Illinois was always kinda boring, but I depended on my dad for my happy endings. After an hour, I finally was finished getting all my luggage checked in. I couldn't wait to see my daddy after 3 years.
